These boots are good.
These boots perform as well as I could want. I have always been a mens size 9, but for the last couple years I’ve needed wide width or else my pinky toe gets crushed\develops callouses from tight shoes. These boots (size 9W) fit me no problem. It doesn’t snow here, but December nights are cold, and I do notice these boots keep my feet warmer than regular shoes. If I go inside to eat, I do notice my feet sweating from the insulated boots, but my socks don’t get soggy, so I guess the evaporation system works? The boots have good traction (as good as any hiking boots). There are no "speed lacing" hooks. Not mentioned in the product description: the boots have side zippers for easy on and removal, which I prefer. The plain black color of the boots suit my aesthetic. I can wear these anywhere without standing out. (I have bought boots previously with dayglow orange because they were on sale, and had to be more thoughtful about where I would wear them.)
