Can you really call pants “linen pants” when there’s only 12% linen content? (I got this information from the listing mind you. There is nothing on the pants themselves to indicate what they are made of.) The only label on these pants says “Made in China” with international symbols regarding laundering instructions. (According to my online research, these pants must be washed in cold water, and they cannot be tumble dried, bleached or dry cleaned. Fortunately, they can be ironed because these pants wrinkle easily. I don’t think they wrinkle because of the 12% linen content, but rather the 85% low quality cotton content. I’m not going to mince words here. These pants are made with cheap materials and are not constructed in a manner to suggest longevity in wear. The cuffs are uneven, the pockets are not reinforced, there are numerous loose threads, and the material is very thin yet somehow stiff to the touch. Having said this, for $15, they aren’t such a bad deal if you intend to wear them as “bum around” pants or gardening pants. Just don’t expect them to last very long or to wear them for a night on the town (unless your idea of a night on the town is hitting up the local dive bars.) As for me, I’d rather spend a bit more and get a pair of longer lasting, higher quality pants. Read more
