The first thing I noticed after putting these on is how much more arch support they provide compared to my regular shoes. You can really feel the support on the inside center arches of your feet. The next thing noticed is how evenly and firmly they wrap around my feet. They have a normal tongue and laces, but also an elastic lining under the tongue, so they go on like a slip-on shoe, and stay in place regardless of how tight or loose the laces are. They’re not quite as easy to slip on/off as a true loafer, but way easier than a sneaker and, importantly, they can be put on and taken off hands-free. I can also tell, when I’m walking, that these shoes have a lot more cushion. They are quite comfortable and easy to wear all day, and they really didn’t need any “beak-in” period. I’m glad I got the 9W. I usually take an 8.5W or 9 regular, but the 9W fits perfectly, and I think a regular would have been too tight. Appearance-wise, they’re kind of basic, looking a little like something my grandpa might wear, but I got these for comfort on days when I’m doing a lot of standing and walking, and for that purpose they’re really great. My feet and back do feel better at the end of the day after wearing these shoes. The nylon mesh upper provides good breathability, and overall quality of materials and construction is good. They also came with a spare set of in-soles that was a nice unexpected bonus. I will probably save them if these ever wear out, or use them in another pair of shoes. These are a good comfortable shoe if you spend a lot of time on your feet. Read more

I’ve been testing these slip-on shoes for a few weeks now and have been pleasantly surprised by the overall comfort and support they provide. Technically speaking, I’ve found them to actually be lace-up shoes even though they’re described as slip-one. Regardless of their designation, they’re comfortable for extended wear and extremely light in weight. Thanks to what I believe are built-in arch supports, your weight is evenly distributed making them more supportive than typical shoe designs. The cushioned insole seems designed with plantar fasciitis in mind. It adds extra padding right where it’s usually needed, under the heel and forefoot. After wearing them for several hours around the house and while running errands, my feet still felt comfortable, and I didn’t experience that familiar ache that can creep in by the end of the day. While I can’t claim they’re a medical device, the overall design definitely favors stability (important because I’m fall-prone) and pressure relief. The style is convenient and genuinely easy to get on and off, which I appreciate for quick trips outside. They fit snugly without feeling tight, and the elastic paneling offers just enough give. I also like the mix of materials—woven fabric for breathability combined with genuine leather accents for a cleaner, slightly more polished look. The outsole feels sturdy and grips well on both hardwood floors and outdoor pavement. However, I’m a bit skeptical about their durability since the uppers are made of a fabric material. Their resistance to water is also questionable but, in all fairness, I haven’t worn them in the rain thus far to actually put them to the test and know for sure. Stylistically, these shoes bridge the gap between casual and dressed-up. They pair well with jeans or slacks, and because they’re breathable and lightweight, they work for indoor wear too. I’ve worn mine both around the house and out shopping, and they’ve held up nicely so far without any noticeable wear or loose stitching. Overall, these slip-on shoes are a solid choice for anyone looking for supportive, easy-to-wear footwear that doesn’t sacrifice appearance for comfort. The arch support and cushioning make a noticeable difference, especially if you’re on your feet for extended periods. Unfortunately, they do seem to be priced a bit high. This fact alone puts their value for the money somewhat in question. However, if you believe you could make good use of them and you value comfort above all else, they may very well be worth the additional expense. It’s a very personal consideration, but one that you may benefit from in the long run. Read more

Orthocomfoot sizing is consistent across styles, which is wonderful. We’ve figured out that a 12W is a perfect fit for him, and it always is. These come up a little higher than most orthocomfoot shoes at the back of the heel, but he says they just feel extra supportive at the ankle. These aren’t quite true step-ins for him, but they’re close. He has to loosen them to get them on, and then retighten the shoelaces, but if you’re ok with loose-ish shoelaces you might not have to mess with that at all if you can find the happy medium. The extra insoles are great, even though he hasn’t used them yet for the orthocomfoot shoes they came with— he’s always happy with the pre-installed insoles. He *has* used an extra set of the insoles in a pair of boots and said it made a huge difference in their comfort level, so we consider the insoles a nice bonus. This is our fourth or fifth pair of orthocomfoot shoes, and they’re keeping his feet healthy and happy. We recommend wholeheartedly. They seem expensive until you start looking into orthotic type of shoes, and then you realize that comparatively, they’re extremely inexpensive, and a terrific value for the fit and quality. When I ordered these Orthopedic Slip-On Loafers, I was expecting a very average experience. Once I put them on, I was amazed at how comfortable they really are! They fit perfectly on my size 11.5 wide foot, and the quality is solid — the woven material is both breathable and aesthetically pleasing. The pair comes with a set of arch support insoles that make these shoes must-haves for people dealing with foot problems, support needs, posture issues, or long hours on their feet. Having worn these exclusively since I got them, I cannot bring myself to look at my other shoes. They are so comfortable I forget I have them on. Truly, for the price, these perform better than name-brand shoes I own. The slip-on feature is a game changer as well. Although the laces are stretchy tie kind, you could just knot them tightly once and not have to worry about them again. Not having to sit down and tie your laces is a genuine convenience that saves time, and is especially appreciated by anyone with mobility challenges. If you have posture problems, lower back pain, or the very painful plantar fasciitis, these are for you. No question. Read more
