Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this dress shoe. It doesn’t look like fake leather and have that plastic sheen that some fake leather shoes have. They are comfortable and can be worn all day. I imagine the insole would compress quite quickly due to its low quality but that can be remedied with off the shelf insoles. The fit is about a half size larger so keep that in mind when purchasing. The Hvenstead Oxford dress shoes are aesthetically pleasing with their shiny polyurethane coated, water resistant leather, fine stitching, black sole and laces. The sole of the shoe is textured and rigid, providing some slip resistance. The interior is a smooth leather with a removable footbed. The lacing is in non-traditional, lightning zigzag that you may want to consider removing the laces to form a more traditional pattern. Comfort and sizing: True-to-size and a normal width, if you are more of wide fit, you might want to look elsewhere. Also, the feel is firm and unforgiving, placing pressure on the heel, possibly giving more flexibility after break-in. Keep this in mind if you have heel spurs, but this can be helped through the use of orthotics. Read more
