These shorts are a bit of a mixed bag for me. On the positive side, I really appreciate that they don’t have an overly long inseam. If you’re on the shorter side, the length feels much more proportional than a lot of athletic shorts that tend to run long. The construction seems solid, and they appear to be well made overall. The breathable polyester fabric and ventilation panels do help with airflow, so they’re comfortable enough for workouts or warmer days. That said, the material isn’t the softest, and the rise is a little long in the crotch, which took some getting used to. It doesn’t make them unwearable, but it does affect the overall comfort slightly. In the end, these are decent performance shorts with good build quality and a practical length. If softness is your top priority, they may not be perfect, but if you want something durable with a shorter cut, they’re worth considering. Read more

When I first began jogging consistently around 11 years ago; it took me awhile to realize the shorts chosen for the jog, is extremely important, if you plan on engaging in that activity on a regular regimented basis. I eventually found out about the shorter and lighter style of shorts, that are meant specifically for running or jogging. I now have many years behind me of experimenting with athletic shorts so as to be able to fine tune my shopping for them and not waste money in the process. The G Gldn brand has developed a pair of jigging shorts that seems catered to what i look for in that category of clothing. I usually do not go with a white color of athletic gear because that color is usually the hardest to keep looking presentable. I like to look decent while jogging outdoors, so the fact that this pair pf short looks stylish in a minimal way is a plus. The high grade polyester material, does not stick to me as I am jogging, but rather flows elegantly with the wind. That free flowing and airy material, flows around the flexible underlayer, which handles most of the moisture wicking. I always pay attention to the zippers on athletic shorts, because if there is anything that will go, zipper systems are often affected. This zipper system on this pair of shorts, is indicative of a well made type. I say that because the zipper track is thicker, and hence will be less prone to being pulled apart by continuous washes. I feel confident in giving this pair of shorts five stars, because for the price range, this G Gldn brand knows how to design a reliable and good looking variation of the moisture wicking stretch shorts idea. These athletic shorts are comfortable. I ordered an Xl and it fit me well with plenty of room. There is no liner and the back part of the shorts are perforated with small holes for better cooling. The holes are small enough that you can’t see skin through the perforations. The elastic waist is nice but drawstring is on the inside of the waistband so they look better tucked into the shorts rather than hanging over the top of the waistband. It’s a bit of a shame since the drawstring is actually quite nice and thick with silicone rubber ends, like a flat thick shoe lace. The fabric is 100% polyester. The edge of the right pocket and drawstring are branded with the company name. The left pocket also has a zippered inner pocket large enough for a wallet or phone and the back of the shorts has a small zippered pocket in the middle, large enough for keys. I wore them to the gym a couple of times after washing them and they kept their shape and I was comfortable wearing them for my workout. I believe they will be durable for the long term and I do not see any sewing flaws on them after a few washes. In all a very nice shorts. Read more

It’s hard to say a lot about these shorts, you kinda get what you see. Material is comfortable but not premium, it has 2 normal size pockets and one has a zipper pocket that is nice for keeping keys or something else. The back has a slip pocket, it’s large enough for a snack bar, but not big enough for a smart phone. They are a dark grey to black color with a few logos that aren’t too garish. I feel like the pricing is a little premium for what you get, but everything is more expensive right now. Read more

Now that’s I’ve worn, tested them out, and washed them I feel like I can give a full review. I originally bought these for my partner but they were just a tad too snug on him mid-thigh (the boy has tree trunks) but otherwise he enjoyed the fit and feel of them. I decided I still wanted to see how they felt so I took them out for a 5 mile run and let me tell you, these bad boys did not ride up at all. The material was nice and thick and the waistband was super comfortable, no digging in but no slipping down either. These also have really deep pockets and a nice zipper pocket along the back waist band. The material is super thick but not in a suffocating way which I love and they have a really clean look to them. They held up really well in the wash and I definitely think I’m going to be wearing them again when I go on my long runs. Read more

My size M is about right. Not too loose but still has wiggle room for leg movent. The waist band has a good snap to it so that i didn't even have to tighten the usual strings thats located in the front inside waist band. The fabric from the outer side of the leg around the back to the other side of the leg consists of a tiny holes in a grid pattern for easy air exchange. Its well camouflaged from the view so that the pants look pretty solid in color from a distance. It has two front pockets and one in the middle of the back just under the waist band. Great for carrying keys or wallet etc.. Something that some other performace shorts don't come with. Works great for gym or in my case doing chores around the house. Easy to wash and dries quick so you so its ready to go in short time. Read more
