Black drawstring pants with grommets and ties for lacing on pant leg. Cream shirt with button slits sewn in for lacing. Strangly sleeves have a button halfway up to secure the sleeves if you want to roll them up. Not something you routinely see on pirate shirts! LOL Also, it would have felt more pirate-like if the sleeves had lacing like the chest does. They have 2 pieces of purple gauzy fabric – one a shallow triangle and the other a rectangle (dew rag and sash). Cute compass amulet, a cheap gold plastic clip-on hoop earring, and a very cheap felt hat. Overall, it would have been better if they left the cheap stuff off. Pants, shirt, sash, and bandana are not bad. The felt hat and other trinkets could have been left off and they could have charged less. Hope this review helps you decide if this is right for you. This set is exactly as pictured and an incredible value for the price. The pants and shirt are made from woven fabric (not printed poly like most other costumes). The pants have grommets and cord that you weave through in order to get that iconic "pirate" style. Ha ha. Bravo at this low price. it also includes a couple of great accessories including an earring and this funny compass necklace. I think the makers of this costume assume you will provide your own headgear, but they include a dopey tricorn pirate hat (on an elastic band) that isn't as good as the rest of the costume. I wear a women's medium and purchased a large since it is a costume. This fit perfectly. It will need to be steamed, but other than that it was great. The neck is low cut (and I am a conservative woman), so I will wear a camisole under it for modesty reasons. The headscarf can be worn as shown, but I tied it like a headband and it looked perfect. This was adorable on our son, 8 (it fit him just right with a little adjusting)! The accessories were great (including the earring which he only wore for a few seconds). The hat, chain, earring, and eyepatch were easy to put on and made the effect. He loved wearing it, so I'm sure he would also recommend it.
