No lie: I bought these only for a 'Cousin Eddie' costume for an upcoming party and I need 'em to fit right and last one night. They fit fine, seem decently comfy, and I'm sure they'll hold up for the evening. So this was a "hard to NOT get 5" purchase for me. I am indeed glad a lower-cost option was available for my purposes. The Shoes look great, much more shiny than the photos, they feel comfortable on the feet. BUT the shoe itself feels fragile so do not use them alot. And also have a strong rubber smell to them. I left mine by an open windows for a full day and the smell went away. Read more

Saw some negative reviews and decided I could live with some writing or poor fit because I needed them last minute for a white party. As a backup I bought $200 Vince shoes at Nordstrom in case these didn't arrive in time. But they surpassed every expectation. There was no writing anywhere on the shoe, and when I first dipped my toe in I was sure they would be too narrow, they expanded as I pushed my foot in and ended up fitting better than shoes 10x the cost. They look great, Classy, but not over the top. Comfortable being on my feet in them all night long. The Vince's are going back today and saved myself about $150 with this find! Read more

Alright. I’m coming back in here to edit my review. I was ignorant on the process of making new shoes and learned quickly that it wasn’t a cigarette smell I was smelling, but rather the material from making the shoes. Leaving my original review below as well, though. Updates: The smell was very strong and overpowering. I soaked these in Febreeze for a couple of days, but the smell did not dissipate. It was almost nauseating and almost caused me to return these shoes the same day that I opened them. I ended up wearing them to the wedding I originally bought them for, and they matched my suit well. The grips on the bottoms were almost non-existent which made them great for dancing and sliding around, but not great for trying to navigate the food and drinks area of the dinner. The material was very easy to clean as well. I had a friend drop a plate full of red and orange sauces on my shoes, but was easily able to wipe them clean within seconds because of the glossy finish. People were amazed by the matching shoes and suit, which made me feel better about the shoes. They’re also quite comfortable to stand and dance in—which is difficult to find with dress shoes straight out of the box. I ended up cancelling my return and am giving them the fair shot they deserve. Old review below: Wanted these shoes for a wedding but ended up not being able to wear them because they stunk up the entire house with the smell of cigarettes.
