I’m one of those people that only write reviews when I’m exceptionally pleased with my purchase. I’m VERY happy they made a product like this because I recently realized the value of straight razor shaving and was having a bitch of a time dealing with the foaming kinds of cream. Just used it and it was great! Great scent, you can see what you’re doing and get great lines. Great product, great value for money. Stay away from the WAHL gel. It’s thick and messy. This has a watery consistency that’s just thick enough to assist in the shave. I bought twenty bottles of it from their website when Amazon ran out of it. This product smells great, works great, and is a great value for all that you get. I use this on my head with my freebird shaver instead of free bird shave gel. Just wished they made the preshave oil scent to match this gel. I did not like the preshave oil smell Read more

As a long time Zirh shave gel user I was looking for an alternative to their high price and their petroleum like smell. Trying this product I immediately noticed that the gel is very thin and is very soluble in water which does not allow you to really go over an area multiple times especially if you have hairs growing in different directions. Afterwards my skin feels drier that I have to use a post shave product. With Zirh I don't. I tried new blades and had to use over 4 pumps to get enough gel to cover my whole face and to keep a layer of gel on it. I seem to use over twice the amount I did with my old product. Smell is OK, but if I have to use so much it's not worth it in the long run. Read more

I feel almost like these guys are snake oil salespeople. The ad says “you can see where you’re shaving”. Guess what? With a foaming gel on your face you can see where you’ve already shaved. Lubrication is *decent* but that’s about all. If this was cheaper than gel that would be different. But much more expensive in a small container? Nope. Will not order again. Read more

This shaving get was a total surprise to me. I've been looking for a gel that would not leave me with a razor burn, and gentlemen? I think this is the one. I use a bald head multi-razor for my head and face. This gel has eliminated the razor burn completely, and it allows for a good, close, shave. I will continue using this until it's no longer sold.
