Slippers That Are Not Slippery On Hype

I got these Yoerpe indoor/outdoor slippers in black for my husband. For reference, I got him the size 13-14 even though he is a size 12 shoe. He does recommend that most people should probably size down. Example - if you're a 10.5 go for the 9-10 as they do seem to run a tad big. However, my husband normally wears 2 pairs of socks, and due to a mild case of frostbite he had as a boy (fell in a frozen lake), his feet get cold easily. If his feet or toes get cold or socks/shoes are too tight on his toes, it makes his feet/toes hurt. That's why he had me order a size up, and they work for him perfectly and they fit him exactly like he wanted them to. His reasoning for sizing up was strictly due to the nerve damage in his feet and toes from the frostbite. Them being a tad bigger than his actual size, they do not pinch or bunch his toes and they are not too tight on the top of the toes, and they are not too tight over the dorsum of the foot. *The dorsum is the top of the foot, or what I would call the bridge of the foot - its directly opposite to the arch on the bottom of the foot. His foot fits in it just fine, they do not slip out or slip/fly off of his foot. He wears them around the house and also outside the house to check the mail, etc. he would not wear these to a store or anything. You probably could, but he is not the type of person to wear pjs and slippers to the store. I would not go so far to say that these could be worn outside in the snow nor in wet weather. The soles are not slick, so they have a nice grip to them. My husband also has had 2 prior spinal fusions, he is fused in L3/4/5 & S1. He's about to have a 3rd spinal fusion with his L2/3 space. So he really needed a good slipper that he did not have to bend over to put on, and that did not come off his feet while walking. The soles have a good grip to them and they have a solid, yet bendable, tread. He says this is better than most all others he has tried thus far. He loves these slippers so much! The slippers are well made. They are "poofy" - meaning they look and kind of feel like a puffer jacket. They are very comfortable and very warm too. They keep his feet nice and toasty. The seams all, so far, look to be well sewn. There are no strings ravelling, no holes developing, and no other flaws in any of the stitching of the slippers that I can readily see or identify. They also appear to be sewn in where the material meets the sole, unless my eyes are deceiving me. They really do seem to be well made slippers. They arrived quickly and the delivery was uneventful and as expected. The price point is good as well; I would not hesitate to purchase another pair if I needed to. I will update my review if there are any problems with them after he has worn them a bit longer. So far, so good. Pros - Price is great Warm Fit is good Soles have good grip and are sturdy enough to walk outside in them They don't slip or flip off while walking (unless they are seriously too big for your foot) Cons Not sure how long they will hold, I expect them to hold up for a good while (I will update on this point if/when they do start to become a bit tattered) Pretty quick after wearing, they seem to be a magnet for little fuzzies and stuff like cat or dog hair (will add pics and you'll see what I'm talking about there, its NOT a deal breaker at all) Overall these slippers are really great! The only constructive point my husband said was that the company could make the heel come up just a tiny bit higher than it does. Note - the slipper does NOT fall off or slip off his heel. but he said that the heel portion coming up just a tad bit more would make the feel and fit even better. Its more of an illusion, he said, but adding that extra bit would make them feel more sturdy on the foot, if that makes any sense. He said its not any kind of problem, and not worth taking off a star, because again, they do NOT slip off his feet at all while walking. We got these slippers on August 13, 2025. Todays date is September 1, 2025. He wears these slippers every day and they still look brand new, aside from the fuzzies I spoke about. If you are in need a good pair of slippers that wont break the bank, this is definitely a good option! They are comfy, warm, they grip the floor well (we have hardwoods, tile, and finished concrete floors, and of course the outside concrete), and they are not too tight on his toes. You absolutely should give these a try! I'm really glad we did! Read more

Memory foam insoles and quilted insulation to keep your feet warm

Every fall, towards the end of summer, I purchase a set of slippers for the winter months. In the Pacific Northwest, we get a lot of rain, so I like these type of slippers because the sole keeps your feet dry if you walk out to the mailbox. I'm an older guy with bad feet, so the memory foam insoles are wonderful. The quilted insulation is breathable, but warm without being too hot. These will be worn almost every day and are great to have near the door to slip into once I get home from work. My only complaint is the back heel area. A lot of slippers are sewn in such a way that you can step on the heel cup to flatten it and walk around that way. If you try to pull the heel cup up, there's simply not enough material there so either design the slipper to not have the heel cup, or design it with a heel cup that actually helps keep the slipper on when you walk. I know from previous experience that the memory foam will flatten down quite a bit over time, so while they run true to size, they may feel a bit snug at first, but within a week or so, they should feel as expected. I'm curious to see how these hold up over a season. The weak spot always seems to be where the top of the shoe is sewn into the sole, however these are sewn very well, so I'm confident they will last as expected. I always take time to read reviews before making a purchase on Amazon, and I hope this review helps you make an informed decision. If you're looking for a pair of slippers to keep feet warm this winter, I would recommend considering this item. Read more

Heavy Duty Slippers

These are pretty heavy-duty slippers. They have a nice thick sole that works well for inside or outside. The soles are dark and have a good texture, but I found they don’t mark. They are pretty comfortable, although I’m a 10 and have wide feet; they do fit with socks on, but better with them off. I like the fabric both inside (soft) and out (more rugged). I wouldn’t call them completely waterproof, but in my use in wet environments, they kept the water out well from puddles/rain. I do wish the backs were maybe slightly higher. Overall, I’m quite happy with them for multipurpose slippers that I can wear around the house, but also can go in the backyard or out front to do quick tasks without having to change. Read more

Warm weather, comfortable slippers

These are very comfortable and true to size. One thing I really like about them is that there is a very small bit of material around the heel of the foot. You can wear them as simple slides or you can tuck that material up a bit to hold them in place. The memory foam is comfortable. I will say they are likely cold weather slippers as they keep me very warm. Read more

Chunky slippers but great around the house

I needed a pair of house shoes and so far these have worked great at that. I’m usually not fond of bulky slippers (feels like I have duck feet) and these do have some bulk, but better than others. I like the fact that the outer part of the slipper is covered in a synthetic fabric to prevent spills from making the slippers dirty. The soles aren’t as thick as shoes but they don’t bend which makes them handy when throwing out the trash. As for comfort, these have felt great on my feet. It’s like having pillows wrapped around your foot. They also keep my feet warm. I would consider these a good pair of slippers and would recommend them to anyone needing a slipper closer to a shoe.
