TruVat Men's Work Pants Cargo Tactical Construction Pants Ripstop Waterproof Outdoor Hiking with Pockets, $39.98: I ordered the black color variant of these men's work cargo tactical construction "pants". The pants have a heavyweight fabric to them and feel just as rugged as my name brand pants. These have many pockets including pockets on the side, front and back. There is even a velcro enclosure pocket on the left side which is too small to fit a cell phone but perhaps a multi-tool. The fabric is actually a blend of 64% Polyester, 33% Cotton, 3% Spandex (pic2). The material feels rugged yet still breathable. According to the listing, it claim the material is wrinkle-free and ripstop. One thing I really like about the product is the clear care and handling instructions on the tag. It says to wash only in cold water with light colors. Do not use bleach. Dryer cycle on low heat only. Low heat on iron and when washing, inside out reverse the pants. SIZING: I ordered the 34 waist x 30 length. The dimensions are accurate and right on the money. There is no need to upsize when ordering. If you will be wearing these pants primarily in cold climate and need to wear a thermal under layer, you may want to consider upsizing the waist to fit the base under layer. Otherwise the sizing is accurate. POCKETS: My favorite feature of these pants are the MANY pockets. It even has a zippered pocket behind the main front pocket. Behind that pocket is another mini pocket and a belt clip hanging off the belt loop (pic3). VALUE: If you took the tag off these pants I would not be able to distinguish them from the name brand. These are very well crafted pants with a good stitchwork m. They feel like they'll hold up to lots of use. Since I wear pants like these everyday, I'll find out soon enough. Read more
I love, love, love these pants. "Work" pants but stylish, too! Bad news first: They don't fit. I ordered my usual size (34W) and these are very tight around the waist. Pretty far off. Will exchange and hope the replacements fit. But in the meantime... Very tough fabric but not stiff. Ten pockets (!) and they are strategically designed to really be useful. So many "cargo" pants have just one or two extra thigh pockets and call it a day. Need a place for flashlight, screwdriver, handcuffs, pruning shears, wire strippers, marker? It's there. There is a tool loop for hanging tools, but rather than some floppy fabric, they use two crossed loops made from a black satiny-ribbon material that looks stylish when not in use. Some utility was sacrificed for style, as the loops are too small for some tools. There is also an odd set of loops at the back at the waist—nice looking but the utility is not clear to me. Fabric seems both comfortable and tough. The Army green looks really great. A shame about the sizing—order a waist size larger. Read more
These pants fit well and are true to size. They remind me of the thicker work pants from Dickies or Carhartt. Maybe not quite that thick which is a bonus to me. I would rather have lighter more comfortable pants than thick ones that can double as armor. They have a sturdy feel to them and are comfortable enough to work in all day. I also feel like I have more mobility than I have wearing some other work pants. They do in fact feel like they are rip resistant. They don't have much give in them in the waist line so be sure to get the right size. They do have extra pockets that work well for storage of supplies or tools. The value is pretty good for this style of pants and they look good enough. Overall a good pair of pants for a reasonable price Read more

Cargo pants seem to be getting harder and harder to find in the marketplace. I carry a Max sized smart phone, vape, wallet and keys most of the time. 5 pocket jeans do not do the trick! The TruVat Men's Tactical Cargo Work Pants fill my needs well. The robust combination of 64% Polyester, 33% Cotton, 3% Spandex leads to a durable yet comfortable blend for everyday use. The stitching and general construction quality is excellent. The fit is true to size. The pockets are generous and deep. The addition of a key chain clip is a handy feature. The weave of the fabric has a pleasant pattern. All this, plus they are sold at a reasonable price. I recommend this purchase. Read more
My husband tried these work pants and the first thing he mentioned was how well made they feel. The fabric feels durable without being overly stiff, and you can tell they’re built for work or outdoor use. The ripstop material seems tough, and the water-resistant fabric is a nice bonus if you’re working outside or hiking. One thing we both liked was the pockets. There are plenty of them and they’re actually deep enough to be useful. If you carry tools, a phone, or other gear, these make it easy to keep things organized without feeling bulky. The reinforced areas like the belt loops and seams also seem solid, which makes sense for pants designed for work or tactical use. The knee design gives a little extra room to move around comfortably when bending or kneeling. The only thing to note is the waist sizing. My husband normally wears a 34x32 and while the length and overall fit were great, the waist was just a little tight since there isn’t much stretch there. If you’re between sizes or prefer a little extra room, it might be worth considering sizing up. Overall though, they seem like really sturdy pants that would work well for construction, outdoor activities, or anyone who needs something durable with lots of pockets. Read more
