I'm absolutely crazy about the comfort of these socks. I will wear them with house shoes or crocs. One reviewer said they wore fast on carpet so I won't use them alone to walk on carpet and will be SURE to wear them with shoes to ensure their longevity that so many other reviews have said they last a long time and are great protection from the cold and that they wore them with shoes for extreme cold weather. On those really cold days, I wore socks and slippers, but my feet still felt like they were frozen. I searched YouTube and found that wool is better than cotton for extreme cold. If you sweat the cotton stays wet and that cools like in summer. The really cold days, wool is better as it keeps you warmer. It really works! I did not have to layer the socks to have warm feet. Love the socks and finally have warm feet. These are machine washable and very soft. I highly recommend them on really cold days and they do not slide down or "you cannot walk out of them" on some footies. I got larger size just to have more warm air around my feet. Love them. Being that I work mostly outside in the cold this winter I need something to help keep my feet nice and warm . Usually I wear 2 pairs of sock and my feet would start sweating, then my feet get cold ,but with Wool sock my feet are dry,comfortable and warm. Very warm and comfortable. They're a little below mid calf for me but they have a very strong elastic and stay up without any trouble. I've been washing them in a machine but air drying them afterwards. I'm not seeing much, if any, shrinkage. Read more
