I ordered this protector primarily for the water resistance, I just received it today. I’ll come back and update my review if something changes. Water resistance: So far, I tested it by pouring water on it (before washing) as another reviewer did in a video. The water beaded up and just ran off, just like their video. I then washed it in a lingerie bag (one place it said to wash on gentle cycle and dry on low heat) with another load and dried on low heat. It came out fine. I tried the water again. This time it did not bead up. The top part was wet like sheets would be if you poured water on them, however, it didn’t soak through the bottom membrane (which is what I was expecting). So, I’m happy with this purchase so far. Fit: It wraps nicely under my mattress. I hope it stays in place (that was my primary reason I stopped using a mattress protector years ago, because the sheets wouldn’t stay down). Noise/softness: it’s as soft as I expect it to be. I don’t anticipate it being noisy. And hopefully isn’t hot. 5 stars so far! Read more
