I hadn't anticipated the fabric of this vest. I think I expected a smooth finish, but the fabric is textured. It's somewhere between a narrow rib and an almost woolen look. It's a thinner material than that sounds and could absolutely be worn over a t-shirt for a cute spring look. The buttons are nice. They contrast the fabric (I ordered the black) but are low key, not gaudy. They word with the classic look of the vest. The vest fits to your body but not tightly. It's not a bodycon fit, you could wear it for work over a dress and look feminine and as importantly, dressed. THIS is an elegant vest! The knit is so soft and hangs very well! It isn't some cheapo sleezy knit, but high quality! It's comfortable, too! Since I sew, I notice how things are constructed. When I am thinking about buying anything that is sewn, whether it's a garment or purse or even the Bible covers I give as gifts, FIRST I examine its seams! I gave you plenty of closeups so you can see, too. The buttons are secure, the seams even and strong. The only thing that I am a leeeeedle iffy about are the buttonholes. I know that this is the common way of doing buttonholes in knits like this, but I would rather have liked to see reinforcement around the hole. That is why 4 stars instead of 5. Pretty! Good shape and modern looking. When I revised it, I thought the material looked a bit cheap. After putting it on, I take it back. It looks really nice. My only real issue with it is that it runs slightly too big in my opinion. I am between a small and medium in size. This is a medium and it just felt a little too baggy, even for the style. I would order one size down but if you like the size in the pics then order your regular size. Read more
This tight knit, yet light vest looks very elegant on. No need to button or unbutton, goes on easily over my head. Light enough for summer wear. The V neck is flattering and frames your favorite necklaces beautifully. It's very comfortable on, not the least bit scratchy as knits can often be. It really elevates your style in a classy way. This is a really soft sweater top. I love the burgundy color and how well it's made. The fabric is very soft and comfortable on. It does show a bit of stomach at the bottom of the shirt. The sizing seems accurate. I ordered a small and it fits my teen daughter, who usually wears a small, perfectly. No issues as of now with pilling but will update if anything changes. Such a cute top. This material of this sweater vest is thicker than I expected. It's lighter than wool but thicker than polyester so it can be worn in the cooler months as a simple casual vest. It has stretch to it which I greatly appreciate. I am 5' 7, 190 and I got a large. The fit is perfect. Even after a few hours of wear it is still breathable.
