This dress is so kind to a "real" figure; it skims your curves nicely, without highlighting every little bump or bulge. The top is smocked, but not so you feel squeezed, as though you're bursting the seams. The fabric has a nice heft to it; not flimsy or see-through (you can't see your undergarments beneath it, at least in the burgundy/wine color). It's a nice length; it looks good on my 5'2" frame with flats or a platform sandal. The slightly fluttery cap sleeves add a feminine touch, without overwhelming. The burgundy/wine color I chose is a deep, rich shade. I just ordered two more of this dress, in other colors, because it fits so well, and doesn't shrink up in the washing and drying process (I bought a similarly styled dress a few months ago, and was vastly disappointed after laundering). The dress is beautiful and it is flattering but the color is not the same as the one in the picture it is more of a gray blue. I was disappointed because we are getting family pictures and my daughters dress was the same color as the one in the picture but the one I got is not the same color. I usually wear a medium but was able to size down to a small and it fits perfect and it's not tight. Read more

I really liked this dress right out of the bag. It actually fit and the elasticized, smocked top will accommodate a variety of chest sizes. The rayon material had a nice look to it. The color was nice, a slightly gray down blue was becoming. The length went down to my ankles, unlike in the photo, but I think I might keep it as it doesn’t bother me at that length. However, it can be hemmed. Any length you want. The little cap sleeves on the shoulders were a nice touch. The back comes up below the neck but high, and the front is V neck. LOVE this cute, feminine summer dress with pockets and lining in the skirt (no slip required for modesty)! I just wish that the facing/lining in the v-neck area didn’t pop up and that there was a bit better bra coverage in the underarm area (that’s why I gave it a 4-star rating instead of 5). The dress wrinkles easily, so it needs a good steaming or pressing before wear. The color that they list as ‘apricot’ is a slightly peachy-pinkish beige. I wore this on a recent trip to a very humid area and was very comfortable. I purchased a size large. For reference, I am 5’5” and 160 pounds. I generally wear a size 12.
