Gorgeous dress, thick fabric, comfortable fit and pockets - it's perfect for a casual, put-together look and can be dressed up or down as needed. I got lots of compliments on this dress and I think this could work for a range of body types. I'm 5'6" so this was a good length, but it might feel long if you're shorter. Read more
My first impression of this casual summer dress was that it would possibly work well as a swimsuit coverup to wear to the pool next summer. The shapelessness of it didn’t inspire me to order it as something I saw myself necessarily wearing day to day. But I went ahead and ordered it in black and in a large. This dress has a very simple, paired down style that actually allows for more versatility than I had originally envisioned. The sides of this dress are equal in width throughout most of its length, giving it a loose, oversized silhouette. Worn on its own, it does not enhance the natural curves of the body, but could be easily paired with a belt of any style to create more definition. There are two pockets included, hidden along the side seams on the dress that add functionality. As far as quality goes, it’s very nicely done. The fabric is very soft and stretchy and quite thick. For the time of year this dress is geared towards, it feels as though it may be too thick. In the dead heat of summer, I think it’s going to only exasperate the intensity of the heat, and feel suffocating. Otherwise, the dress has been constructed professionally, there were no issues whatsoever with the way it was sewn. It has a very easy design- it slips right over the head to put it on and take it off. The length ends about mid calf, there are two vents cut into each side to add further comfort and movement to the dress. It washed up well, maintaining its structure and color. In terms of its fit, it was as expected. This dress is styled and built similarly to a thick t-shirt or polo, the only difference being the length. On days when you wake up and don’t feel like putting an outfit together and don’t want to wear anything at all constricting- this is a one and done dress made for those times. When it comes to the season it’s best suited to, it would work well during the springtime, before it gets too hot. Because of its consistency, I would avoid wearing it when it’s particularly humid outside. But if looking for something simple to wear that has an understated, unfussy style, this dress is a great choice. Read more
This dress is worth the money. Material is really soft and nice. A little on the heavy side for summer but great for the rest of the year here in So Cal. Craftmanship excellent!! Will definitly look for more Merokeety clothes here online. Thanks for not disapointing me as I'm very fussy with how things are made. Read more

I love this dress except for one thing -- the sleeves! At least, on me. Because I have "fluffy" arms and a larger-than-average rib cage, I've always had trouble getting clothes that fit in the arms (and shoulders) without having to buy a larger size than my waist and hips require. But the fabric of this dress is stretchy enough so I'm able to have comfort in the arms without having to size up. (Of course, manufacturers could simply make ALL their arms more generously sized -- I know I'm not the only one with this challenge -- but I can usually find workarounds.) So the arms aren't a deal breaker for me. The color (I chose the blue-gray) is deep and even throughout, but at first I thought the styling was too severe. The collar and cuffs are nearly military style and not a drop of color or other contrast with the rest of the dress. But its very plainness soon began sparking ideas for accessories and embellishments. Layering would be easy, since there's no patterning to interfere with my favorite vests, sweaters, or casual blazers. Color-blocking with a plain vest or jacket? No trouble at all. Even my old denim jacket would look good with this dress. Also terrific with almost any style of belt: buckled, swag, or tied. The neckline almost cries out for some of the patterned scarves or bold, chunky earrings and necklaces that I've stored away in my jewellery box just waiting for the perfect garment to show them off. Well, this dress is IT. It's not only the potential variety of choices I love. The fabric is sturdy but lush in feel and figure-skimming with no show-through, but light as air in breathability. With the right layering I could wear this dress in any season here in the Deep South, and in a colder climate, I'd pair it with tights and ankle boots and allow both to peek through the side slits. So many shoe styles would work, from plain and business-y to my distressed-leather hiking sandals, depending on the accessories chosen. To be clear: Unlike the text on the product page, I DO NOT see this dress as beachwear -- although the fabric IS wrinkle resistant enough to survive a suitcase for travel. But perhaps that's just me. I know the sleeves will always be a challenge (hence the one star deduction -- make them bigger!). Yet, if you're in search of a well-made, modest garment that can serve as a starting point for dressing it up, or down, consider this dress. I'm confident you'll enjoy the comfort and versatility for many seasons to come. I know I will. Read more
