Ordered the larger of my two usual size options (L-XL mostly because of bust issues) and I would recommend doing so if you are at all concerned. This is a near body con kind of fit. Fabric: soft feeling synthetic; slightly shiny Construction: edges are overlocked and seamed nicely. The sleeve hole are almost too large which is a common complaint in a lot of these dresses made overseas. The cap sleeve tops are adorable. Fit and Construction notes: pockets are a front pocket situation that sits on the abdomen. If you (like me) have any concerns about fit around your abdomen keep in mind that this pocket situation seems to sort of accent this mid section a bit…NOT because of its' aesthetic presence but because of how the pockets are seamed into the garment. It seems to create a bit of "pull" to the sides of those pocket seams (which are on both sides of the dress). If your mid section is an area of concern for you and you (like me) hate the idea of Spanx because you wear dresses NOT to feel restricted than you may want to skip this garment. If this was constructed with false pockets and a smaller arm/arm pit hole I would EASILY give this a 5* review but these are rather concerning areas for women who may struggle with body issues post baby or perhaps have high cortisol levels and their abdominal area never seems to relent for them. This is a GORGEOUS dress (despite being constructed with an obvious synthetic fabric) and I could maybe forgive the arm holes if the pocket situation wasn't happening. If you are of a tall, lithe build and need to opt for a smaller size the arm holes may be less of a concern (not sure haven't looked to see other reviews).
