This is such a cute bag! It’s mostly mesh except for the bottom. It has a lot of pocket compartments on the outside, which makes it easier to store smaller items so I’m not digging to the bottom of my bag to find it. Its okay! Smaller than expected, half a bottle of water for scale in the photos. I don't think its "sand proof" lol so I think i misunderstood the description. However, it will be good for the beach! Has a little covered, zip up pocket on the inside maybe for Jewlery or even a phone possibly. I love this bag!! My daughter goes to the beach all the time and she keeps trying out different bags to take her stuff. She ends up taking grocery bags because she said she would rather just throw a bag away vs having to clean out all the sand. I knew she needed to get something more durable that she could keep stocked with all her usual beach items. I am so pleased with this bag. One of the things she didn't want was a large bag - and that's what I really love about this bag. It's small in size but stands tall so it doesn't take up a lot of space. It's mesh material- providing lots of holes to filter the sand and allowing her to see her stuff. I love that it's got several pockets to keep her stuff sorted. Went on a cruise last week and this bag really came in handy for going to the pool and visiting ports! It folds up small and fit easily in my suitcase. The bag is a good size and holds a lot of stuff! I fit in towels, sunscreen, my wallet and my book - everything I needed for the day.
