My 120lb German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix is incredibly intelligent, and incredibly difficult to entertain during the day while I work from home. Bored dogs are destructive, so I've employed all manner of food puzzles to occupy her, but one of the biggest issues I've sought to resolve is THE NOISE. She picks up and THROWS her puzzles to solve them, and a lot of toys on the market are hard plastic or dense rubber that echo upon impacting our hard flooring. Not good when I'm on conference calls. Enter the Messy Mutts wobble ball! It's made of a soft, jiggly sort of rubber akin to the floppiness of silicone dish mats. It easily accommodates big biscuits and large amounts of kibble which is perfect for my huge dog. She slaps it with her massive paws, rolls it with her nose, and, of course, picks it up and throws it. But when it hits the floor (or wall) the impact noise is a soft, quiet thump with an amusing Flubber-esque reverb. The only downside is its slightly tacky feeling surface, which makes it a fur magnet. But, I suppose it's doing me a favor and pulling double duty by collecting fur tumbleweeds. It easily wipes off with a damp paper towel, and it's dishwasher safe once it's time for a deep cleaning. The center pops outward to let you clear crumbs from all the nooks and crannies, so it's a breeze to maintain. I love it, she loves it; there's really no reason your shouldn't get this for your dog! I was looking for something to keep my foster dog occupied, and since she likes to eat, I thought a treat dispensing toy would do it. I mean, it's called a "Stuff and Wobble Ball", right? If you look at the first picture, the ball has been "opened up" so you can drop the treats in. It's made of something resembling silicone, so it's easy to manipulate. After you have filled it with treats, you push the top down inside itself (second picture). This effectively keeps the treats in, so the dog has to work moving the "ball" around to try and get the treats to fall out. Actually, calling this a "ball" is a misnomer; it is not perfectly round and is oddly shaped (third picture) so when it moves it "wobbles". I guess that is part of the fun for the dog. Anyway, I put the treats in and closed it up; the dog was watching me intently the whole time, so I thought this would be a big hit with her. After putting it on the floor, she went over and smelled the treats, then shoved her nose inside the hole and started licking the treats up. I tried to show her how to make it work by rolling it on the floor. A few treats fell out; she ate them and then she went back to licking them out of the ball. When she couldn't reach the rest of the treats in the ball, she gave up, walked away, and refused to have anything to do with it. I don't know; maybe she isn't the brightest dog on the planet, or maybe she is just lazy, but this treat ball did not work for her at all. Read more

When I first got this toy, I was thinking that it was flimsy and wouldn't last. I was also questioning how it could possibly be difficult as the opening for the treats is pretty wide. However, it thoroughly upset and challenged my dogs and I take back any negative thing I thought about it before using. The wide opening is very deceptive as the dog has to flip it directly over really quickly for it to release the treats which most dogs won't do. When they nose it and bump it, it rolls, causing all the treats to catch under the lip of the toy and not come out. They too are confused by the larger opening but inability to get out any treats. And while I thought the material might be flimsy, it held up to two very eager pups doing their best to tear it apart to get to the treats inside and it still looks new. Read more
The media could not be loaded. I have a medium size dog with a smaller mouth. Moms chew toys and treat dispensers are too thick for him to get his mouth around but this wobble ball is thinner and perfect for him. It’s pretty flexible so he can pick it up and toss it around to get treats. He loves to play with it. It does get dirty or my his fur gets on the toy and I have to wipe it off before use but not a big deal Read more
my little 23 pound monster absolutely loves this! It’s gone to the point where she literally will pick it up and bring it to me to add more treats to it. Plus, it is super quiet and hardly makes any noise when she’s using it, always a bonus! Plus, it is easy to clean! Read more

My older (80 lb) dog has quite a few treat balls and this isn't her favorite, because its not one of her easiest to use. She likes the path of least resistance, which isn't this. On the other hand, that might be great for some people! She CAN just use her tongue and nibble/lick up the treat at the bottom, but she has a longer, narrower snout. My mom's dog (40 lbs) tried it out and she was also able to just "snout" the treats up (she also has a narrower, long snout. For the goldilocks dog, I brought it over to my sister's dog who is 100lbs with the most enormous face and nose known to mankind. Bingo! He had to WORK to get it. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it would last if I gave it to him, since he can just chew anything apart that annoys him. I think this toy is for the dog with patience, and who does'nt have a long narrow nose. Unfortunately for me, that dog isn't in my family. Read more
