Meta Quest Link Cable - Virtual Reality Headset Cable for Quest - 16FT 5M - PC VR

After trying many different cables, this is the cable I've landed on and it works flawlessly! The Meta Link cable uses fiber so it is able to deliver USB 3.0 5Gbps speeds at a much longer range than copper based cables. Also if you have a power delivery USB-C port on your desktop/laptop then you will be able to keep the headset charged while playing. Other USB C to C cables use copper so they are much thicker/stiffer and can't go as long (longest I found was only 2.5M). The Meta Link cable is very light and flexible and also comes with a little cable strap, so you can tie it to the side of your headset so you don't feel a cable pulling down on the headset. I am very happy with this cable due to its: * length, which allows me to cable manage it around my desk and into my sim rig * weight, which makes it easy to forget about when using * ability to charge while playing (granted you have a power delivery port) * stable connection, I've raced hours at a time without any hitches I know this cable is pretty pricey, but you get a really high quality cable for it. If you're really budget conscious, search Amazon for fiber USB C to C cables and you will likely be able to find cables for slightly less (but still more than a copper cable). I avoided this cable for years because of its bad reviews, high return rates, and high price. In doing so, I probably spent more than the price of this cable on junk cables, only to come back and ultimately buy this overpriced cable anyway. And I love it. It works better than wireless (and I sit just a couple of feet from the router), does a pretty good job keeping the Quest 2 charged during gameplay, and delivers superior graphics and frame rates compared to wireless link. As for the claims of ruining the immersion, your mileage will vary. I use it for Flight Sims, primarily DCS. My helmet IRL has a cord coming off the back that plugs into the helicopter anyway, so I just use the attached Velcro strap to fasten the cable to the back of my Quest 2 strap, and I don't even notice it. It's actually less noticeable than the real thing. The bottom line is that I should have bought this cable first and "cried once" instead of wasting so much money on other junk cables that don't measure up. This is one purchase I was very skeptical of going with for the fact its sold by Meta. I assure you though this cable is these best link cable option. I have had multiple friends have issues with their third party cables not working properly and keep telling them to get this one. The price is a lot more yes but this cable offers really high bandwidth and the ability to charge while playing! This is at least with the Meta Quest 2. As for the new Meta Quest 3 it cannot out charge its consumption which I believe is a problem with that headset itself. The cable has a 90 degree to plug into your headset which makes it nice to run it back behind you when playing. It is a Type C to Type C cable but most pcs have a dedicated type on the back. The Quest cable is something I did not expect to be good but it really is. The connection is always stable and it makes using VR games easy. The cable is also really long and great to use in larger and small spaces. It also does well with quest 2 aswell as quest 3 so it's very compatible with most quest products. It’s just long enough for its intended purpose. The little Velcro strap is really nice, and I do think it’s worth it to buy the non 3rd party version. Plus, works way better than airlink. As long as you aren’t running around in it, you should be completely fine. Read more
