Perfect for iPads, easily connected. Very high quality and has the same feel as the brand name pencils. Way cheaper than the name brand and has the same function so this is an overall great product. The battery last long and it charges with a C port which is great Read more

Must buy. So much lighter than the first 2 gens of pens, and similar to the pros. If you want a simple quick cheaper by a lot that works for your M2, M4, and regular iPads and Airs, this is it. Works wonderfully and no glitches. Did I mention SUPER lightweight? Yes. No app is needed. I interchangeably use it between iPad 9th gen and IPad 10th gen with No issues. It doesn’t lag nor glitch. I use this pen to take notes for school and work so I use it ALOT. It also comes with several pen tips for replacement, which is easy to change out. Battery lasts all day, maybe even up to 3 days depending on what you’re doing. I do own an Apple Pen 1st gen, but I don’t use it because it’s heavy! And if you take a lot of notes like I do, the sport pen tires your hand- it is noticeably heavier. Besides, the sport pen requires you to install it to your iPad, and say if you want to use another non Apple pen it interferes with it via connection. I now use 2 non brand pens as back up’s and neither give me issues. But if the Apple pen was my back up, it interferes stiff connection and lags or glitches this pen. So keep that in mind. I love this pen, I use it a lot as my go to, and I’m glad I bought it. But it, you won’t regret it. If you’re not a professional artist, you don’t need the Apple pen, you’ll want this trust me!!! I recommend this pen for all! Read more

the pen is ok, holds the charge fairly well so far. works with all iPad apps we've tried it with so far. Mostly kids learning apps. the plastic build quality isn't premium as an official Apple Pencil but for the price we'll live. There tends too be accuracy issues if the pen tipis screwed on fully. you have to leave the tip unscrewed at the right amount of space to be able to write accurately in certain apps. Read more

UPDATED: The seller reached out to me due to this review and offered me a refund. I asked for a new pen since I really did love it and so they sent me a new one with an extended warranty. Upon receiving the new pen, I thought that I would use the replacement tips from the new pen to try on my old pen to see if it was a damaged tip that caused it to not work and it was. The old pen works now as it should. So word of advice, DO NOT use your fingernail to lift the pen out of its holder by the writing tip as that will damage it. I am working with the seller now to pay for the replacement as that was my mistake. This is a really great pen and easy to use. Not having to bother with connecting it or anything is a big plus. The seller really went way above and beyond to make me happy (too far in my opinion, lol) but do not hesitate to buy this pen because it really is great and so is the seller as they provided stellar customer service for something that ultimately was my fault. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Loved this pen for about a month and a half when it stopped working. It lights up, seemingly charged but nothing happens when I try and use it. It came with a replacement tip which I have to find, but why would I have to replace it after only a month? It is possible that I damaged it when retrieving it from the holder as I would wedge my nail under the tip. Hard to say. I never damaged my previous pen from retrieving it the same way. Have to track down that extra tip and see if that remedies the situation. I will update if I solve the problem. Read more

SKIM-FRIENDLY SUMMARY: If you love the excellent Metapen A8, do not buy this thinking it’s the same thing. The nearly identical name (“Air8” vs. “A8”) is extremely misleading. This Air8 is cheap, flimsy, lacks magnetic attachment, and performs like the bargain-bin styluses I fought through before discovering the real A8. Metapen A8 = fantastic. Metapen Air8 = avoid. ⸻ FULL REVIEW Let me begin by saying something positive and important: the Metapen A8 is one of the finest Apple Pencil alternatives available. It feels premium, performs beautifully, has reliable tilt, accurate tap-to-type, strong magnetic attachment, and is the only third-party stylus I’d ever call “close to the real thing.” Because of that, this product — the Metapen Air8 — is incredibly disappointing. The two names are nearly identical. They share the same number, the same letters arranged almost the same way, and the listings are easy to confuse. Unless you slow down and scrutinize every line, you’d reasonably assume this is a lighter or updated version of the A8. Unfortunately, it’s not even in the same league. Here’s what I experienced: • No magnetic attachment whatsoever. For the “Air8” to share a name with the magnetic A8 yet offer none of that functionality is a major downgrade — and it’s mentioned only ****at the bottom**** of the page. • Extremely light and cheap-feeling. The moment I picked it up, it felt flimsy and hollow — very reminiscent of the ultra-cheap styluses I used to buy before finding the excellent A8. • Inconsistent turning on and no option to turn it off, and unstable performance. Instead of a reliable double tap to power on, it turned on with a single tap, flickered, and behaved unpredictably. When I tried to tap the on-screen keyboard, it wouldn’t register letters properly, yet it could still scribble on the screen. Exactly the type of glitchy behavior I thought I had escaped forever. • Misleading naming that seems designed to cause confusion. The difference between “A8” and “Air8” is one letter. Same brand, same style of listing, same model number structure. It is genuinely easy to mix these up — and I wouldn’t be surprised if many people who love the real A8 accidentally buy this thinking it’s the same thing. If the A8 were not such an outstanding product in a market flooded with terrible options, I would refuse to do business with this company as this was clearly meant to mislead. I actually bought two of them as the price was so good but they’re going right back tomorrow. Maybe I will give another company a try, hoping to find something similar to the A8 and boycott these people for bad behavior. Read more
