I really like this dish soap! It is my favorite scent in their line and I have been using their soap for over five years! It seems to cut through grease pretty good. They use to sell this soap with a spray top which I liked much better because I had washed dishes with the spray and wash method opposed to filling my sink up with water and washing dishes in dirty water. Now I have a new sink that has the soap dispenser built right in. I just refill my dispenser with this soap and squirt it into each dish as I wash it from the dispenser in my sink. I have found if I spray really hot water from the sink onto each pot or pan before I wash it and let it sit (water doesn't have to be in it while it sits just sprayed on it everywhere) for a couple of minutes on the counter or somewhere before I wash it with this soap, the dishes come clean pretty quickly with little scrubbing. Usually when I am done spraying water on my last pan (say the 4th one), I can already start washing the 1st one I sprayed. I should note that I wash all of my dishes with a bottle brush and not a wash cloth as they seem to wash much faster that way too. I really like what Method Dish Soap stands for too! It's nice to support a company that has a great product that works, smells great, and is good for me and the environment. However if you run out of hand soap at your kitchen sink, I wouldn't use a small squirt of this to wash your hands with too often or you might find that your hands are really dry as it is meant to cut through grease! I did just notice they have other products like laundry detergent that I might give a try just because I like their dish soap so well. You might want to try their hand soap next to your kitchen sink if you run out. I make my own foaming hand soap but if I didn't, I probably would try that too. Read more

This product is very concentrated so a lit’l goes a long way; i bought it specificaly 4 the shape of the bottl it cums in (not top heavy so doesn’t tip over easily, & it’s elegant in it’s simplicity) & cuz it’s a pump container wich is much easier 2 use than havin 2 open then turn upside & squeeze out detergent from other brands bottles. It’s a nice blu color, i personaly like the fragrance & I noticed a no. of other customers like this 4 the bottles’ shape also. So I reuse the bottl repetedly since I like it so much. Read more

I have been searching for this old style pump bottle for a while now. I had been refilling the same old bottle for years until the pump broke after being dropped on the floor. I tried several different "reusable" bottles but really missed the old Method bottle. Was really excited to find that the old bottles were still for sale. Several years ago, Method changed both the shape of their bottles and the pump mechanism and it was really disappointing. The older bottle has a wider bottom, which prevents it from tipping over. The top of the pump is also wider, which makes it easier to press to dispense dish soap. I'm not sure why they changed the design, but they lost a long time customer with that move. The five stars is entirely for the bottle. Method dish liquid is too watery and doesn't clean as well as other dish soaps on the market. The basil scent is nice. It's very mild. Read more

Method Dish Soap is my fave! I love the size and shape of the container, the pump always works great down to the last pump of soap, and its made from 100% recycled material. The soap is super effective at cutting through grease and a little goes a long way as it's very concentrated. At the same time, it's doesn't feel harsh to my hands- it's definitely more gentle than other mainstream brands- and the basil scent is so nice and fresh and light rather than overpowering. I started using the basil scented one as I noticed that in the multi-pack it tends to be cheaper than other Method Dish Soaps- I suspect because the color is not as bright and decorative as some of the other bright orange, green and other colored choices. But it's every bit as effective, still looks stylish on the counter in the tall sleek pump container and smells so nice. It's my fave now, and I reorder the basil, although these last quite awhile so no need to reorder too often. Read more

I got several sample packets of Method's dish soap a few years ago and fell in love with the basil variety, so when I discovered this 6 pack available on subscribe & save I jumped on it. I have weird reactions to some soap. Dawn dries my hands out quite badly, Palmolive makes me itch like it's a bottle of poison ivy, but Method is perfect. No drying, no itching, it doesn't leave my hands feeling sticky or slippery or slimy. Which is great, but even better is that it actually cleans my dishes. It does well on grease, doesn't make plastic dishes feel odd (don't judge, I have 6 kids, they break a lot of glass dishes), and the basil makes my whole kitchen smell great. I have zero complaints about the soap. The bottle? That could use some work. The pump likes to accumulate dried soap on the end and if I'm not paying attention it'll shoot soap halfway across the kitchen (or all over my shirt) when I'm just trying to get some on my sponge, also it can be a bit of a pain to get the last 10 or so pumps out of the bottle. I always have to pick it up and spin the pump and tilt the bottle to try to line up the straw with the last bit to get it out. Besides that, the lids sometimes leak in shipping. My last order had a leaky bottle and was packed into box containing other things so I ended up with boxes of gummies and pop tarts covered in dish soap, not a huge deal since they're individually wrapped, but it could have been a problem if it had shipped with things that aren't. First of all let me clear a few things for future purchasers. Yes it is the older bottle, the packaging that some had mention was not my experience. Each one of the bottles came in its own plastic bag. There was no leak, and I checked every bottle when removing from the bags and they had been closed properly. Smell was not over powering so I appreciated that. Once I am done with these I do plan on purchasing again. Read more
