Worked and fit like a charm! Read more
Installed an aftermarket CD Bluetooth radio in my 1995 Mazda B4000. Which behind the Mazda badges is all Ford Ranger. This Wiring harness fit like a charm. I used some heat shrink connectors for the wires. My truck had the "premium" sound package from the factory which means it has a built in amplifier. Since 1 more connection was needed, I had to use the automatic antenna wire for the amplifier connection which is not a problem since that wire was unneeded for the antenna. 4 months in and its still working great. Highly recommend this radio wiring harness. Read more
I would not have believed that a $5 product could be so satisfying. This worked, simply, GREAT. The lines are color-coded to EIA standards, which happen to be the same standards as used for my new radio connector. Match the colors, splice the wires, plug in the harness: MAGIC, the dang radio just worked perfectly the first time I turned it on. (The wires are even imprinted with the function, like Front-Left+ etc.) NOTE: this harness set is designed to plug into the cable in the vehicle (not the radio), and be wired to the plug going to the new radio. So the new setup looks like this: vehicle-plug/harness-receptacle/splice/new-radio-plug. I'm a EE, but you can use this if all you know is how to read and crimp a splice. I am a Very happy customer. The green harness is not compatible with my car. But they say that if it is, it was only a lost day in addition to money. Read more
For a 1st gen expedition, you won't need the harness with the green connector. You have to bypass the stock amp and run your own wiring to each speaker and then wire it into your Head unit harness. Otherwise you will get VERY poor performance and a horrible static and dirty signal from the factory amplifier. I tried running my own ground to eliminate noise, but it's just severely outdated tech and you can NOT get clean sound and performance from the factory amplifier. Read more
Connectors fit correctly. If for some reason, the wires are incorrectly configured (mine were not), the power harness (the larger one) is fairly easy to modify. You can depress the tabs on the inside and remove the pin and move it to a different location. I am quite happy as long as I have the harness itself. Moving the wires around is no big deal if you don't like the exact configuration for your application Read more
Wire for wire on a 1996 Ford Ranger STX. Note on the older vehicles the blue and white Amp On wire needs to be wired 8nto the red wire or you will get no sound. Read more
I ordered for a specific model and year but it was the wrong harness for my radio so I bought the correct one from a local car audio shop. The information on fit was very shaky and they need to do some work on their descriptions of what fits. The quality looked fine but wasn't usable with my vehicle. Read more
