They did not include activator with the bottle. I know one of the answers above says that activator is not required, however, instructions on the bottle state different. It says "activate the solution by adding the entire contents of Activator Plus vial which is attached to the container. When activated, solution changes color to bluish-green." There was no vial attached, and since I bought it to sterilize equipment, I could not be sure it would sterilize appropriately without this activator. So, I had to dispose of the whole gallon. Good product. Make sure to get test strips to test this products regularly as recommended by the manufacturer. This used to be a gallon at this price. Now all of a sudden it’s 32 ounces at a similar price. What’s going on? Read more

I actually used this in place of expensive Flourish Excel. Just mixed 3 parts of this with 2 parts of water to reach the same consistency. They have the same ingredients. It’s worked fantastic In my 220 gallon aquarium and kept plants growing well while controlling bearded algae. Will CERTAINLY buy again. If you’re an aquarists, buy this stuff as it’s 1/6 the cost. JUST BE CERTAIN TO NOT USE THE ACTIVATOR. If you use the activator you will kill everything. Read more
