I wanted a rug that was big enough to fit the bench and give us room to take off our snow boots/shoes and has rubber on the bottom to prevent melting snow from damaging our floor. Also to help with mud/dirt in the summer. This rug is perfect. Have had it by back door for a few months now and it has held up great. True to size. We got the 3' x 5' size and use it on hardwood flooring, inside the back door.
