Painful perfection
It is no secret - I have a massive soft spot for Michael Jackson - I simply love the man! So I might be a bit biased, but aren't we all! I have this beautiful print along with another painting Mark Lewis did of a younger Michael. This is a wonderful piece, capturing his beautiful eyes and behind them the pain, sorrow, concern and love that he carried with him. The dramatic coloring to me, signifies all of the hardship and suffering that he went though in his life. Life is never easy, especially if you are such a unique soul, with such a genius mind that lived such a publicly scrutinized existence your entire life, but that never stopped him from trying to reach perfection.
