I used this on freshly washed, soaking wet hair and applied it in sections before diffusing. For reference, I have thick, textured curls that are very prone to frizz, especially in humidity. This gel gives a true strong hold without leaving the hair stiff or crunchy. Once fully dry, I was able to scrunch out the cast and my curls felt soft but still defined. The definition lasted throughout the day without puffing up. What stood out: - Excellent frizz control - Strong hold without flaking - Does not leave heavy residue - Keeps curl clumps intact - Works well in humid conditions It pairs well with a leave-in underneath and performs best when applied to very wet hair. I wanted to share two methods I used with this gel. The first method I used was on wet hair only rung out in the shower. I applied by sections and brushed it through. It definitely did seal up the water and left no frizz and locked up my curls in its exact pattern with shine but the crunchiness it left when it dried was a big no for me. There was no softness and I didn’t like that. So what I did in the second method was on wet hair in the shower, I rung out my hair only and then I applied a leave in conditioner and then I took the gel and emulsified first (rubbing it in my hands and then just finger combing it through my hair). Method 2 did the trick for me. I styled my hair in the part that I wanted and then I finished it off with a good hair oil and it was nice and soft when it dried. So for anyone that got that stiffness I totally understand. Pics I provided was the first method straight out the shower before it dried and then the 2nd one is the day after method 2 where you can see the curls looking soft and still in place and that is due to the gel. I was born with a chronic degenerative lung disease, and after 16 hospital admissions in the last 4 years, have really started paying attention to what I put in and on my body. This has led to a LOT of trial and error with numerous "clean" products... And subsequently, hair that's felt like straw, itchy scalp, and shocking amounts of hair fall. Miche is the first product that has delivered on EVERYthing it says it will. It leaves my hair soft and more moisturized, its slip is fantastic, and it smells lightly of sweet, juicy pineapple. My lungs are really sensitive to scents, and this one doesn't bother me at all. The hold is great as well... I use the "clap out" method on my waves, and they stay soft, defined, and frizz-free for 3-4 days. Lastly, it scores 100% on the Yuka app, which is incredibly rare, especially for a product that delivers such high end, salon quality results. The product gives great definition to my hair but after using only this product on freshly washed 4c low porosity hair, it left my hair feeling extra dry and left a lot of residue. I'm going to try it one more time with my shea moisture leave-in conditioner and see if there's a change. Read more

One of the best hair products I’ve used in years! Love this gel so much. It holds my hairstyle for days, no flakes, but you have to like the more dry, almost crunchy style, at least for me the first few days at leas the hair doesn’t feel soft.
