I love the Micro Ingredients brand for keeping prices manageable while delivering high quality supplements. Astaxanthin is an absolute powerhouse antioxidant, it needs to be taken with a bit of fat so I take it in the morning with my omegas and a spoon of olive oil or a couple bites of yogurt. These seemed pure, I took them for a few weeks, and then I seemed to develop an allergy. My eyes became itchy and I didn't see much of a skin improvement. Astaxanthin is proven to stimulate the DNA repair mechanisms, including the production of antioxidant enzymes, therefore notably mitigating the detrimental effects that UV radiation exerts on the skin. This particular product comes in a higher dose that it's well known brand competitor, thus making it a great value. Packaging is minimal.
