I have a convertible laptop that doubles as a tablet. There were two big downsides to this tablet. The first was that the touch pad was very poor and the second is that there is only one USB port. Because the touch pad was so bad I had to use a mouse and I happened to have a wireless mouse from a previous computer that I used for this purpose. I liked that mouse a lot but I did not like using the only available USB slot for the receiver. This Microsoft Sculpt mouse was a terrific solution. I had it connected to the laptop in literally less than one minute. I have absolutely no problems with slow response nor disconnecting nor any other problem such as that which other people have described in reviews. What is surprising about this is that I have a bluetooth keyboard that came with the laptop that does react slowly, disconnect, etc. This mouse just simply works and works well. There is really only two things about it that if pressed I might complain about. The first one is the blue button on the side. This can be used for a couple of Windows 8 specific purposes and it works as designed. The only problem is that I keep hitting it inadvertently and that can be a little annoying. I have adjusted my grip on the mouse and it happens less frequently but it still happens from time to time. The second thing is that the mouse does not feel as comfortable in my hand as my previous mouse did but each day I'm getting more used to the feel and I had used the other mouse for over 5 years. Based on reviews I read as I researched bluetooth mice, on my way to selecting this one, I found that a good number of people have problems with these devices, from connecting to responsiveness. I have experienced none of those issues. This works every bit as well as my previous wireless mouse in terms of responsiveness, scrolling smoothness, etc. I would recommend this mouse to anyone. This is my new favorite mouse. It is comfortable, well constructed, smooth, and, yes, has support for Bluetooth (when so few mice do today ... what's up with that?). To boot, it's cheap, too. My previous Blutooth mice from Microsoft, which, by the way, I liked very much, were nearly twice the price, and probably not as comfortable as this one. On the downside, the mouse is a bit bigger than the older Microsoft Bluetooth mice, and since it uses AA batteries (instead of AAA batteries) its a bit heavier than it need be. But you can mitigate that slightly by using rechargeable batteries, many of which are lighter than alkaline batteries, and since your mouse is on your desk for most of the time, the weight factor isn't really that severe an issue. But looking at quality, operation, comfort, and price, its an easy five star recommendation. Also - on the Mac I am using this mouse with a MacBook Pro. It works great, no extra drivers needed. However, you loose the left-side blue button that works with Windows 8. But the scroll wheel and both left and right buttons work just fine on the Mac. But plug it into a Windows machine, and you get the extra button functionality. Also - on BluTooth Connectivity I have had no problems thus far with Bluetooth connectivity. But I know what those can be like: wrestling with an invisible monster that keeps changing the rules as wrestle. I've gone through that song and dance a number of times with Bluetooth device (not just mice) on a variety of machines, but have had no problems with this mouse and my MacBook pro connecting, or staying connected. I like this mouse so much that I purchased a second one. Read more

This mouse is incredible. I bought this mouse to use with my Surface Pro 2. As the computer only has a single USB port, Bluetooth functionality was essential. Besides that, I wanted it to be comfortable for long periods and easily portable. This definitely checks all of those boxes. I'm a 5'10" male, with fairly small hands (5.9" from wrist to middle finger), and the mouse fits my grip very well. If I had smaller hands, it would probably also fit well if I used a different grip (with the mouse in the palm rather than on the base of the fingers). I've spent whole days using this mouse for everything from spreadsheets and presentations to light gaming, with little to no fatigue, so it is certainly comfortable. The mouse stows easily in a suitcase, and the batteries last an incredibly long time, so it is certainly portable. While one of the folding or flat mice would have worked better for portability, I've found they are far less comfortable to use over extended periods. Now, on to the weaknesses. The first is the blue "touch tab" on the side. This is an entirely pointless feature for me. The button is far outside of the reach of my thumb in my normal grip (where the base of my fingers is on the back of the mouse), and even then it doesn't do anything terribly useful. I would have much preferred forward/back rockers that some mice have on the side. The second is minor, but the mouse does occasionally lose contact with the computer. This might be an issue with the driver rather than the mouse, it only happens once a week or so, and all I need to do is turn the mouse off and on again to fix it, so I don't find it that large of a problem. Overall, this is a great mouse if you need something Bluetooth that you can use all day. Just buy it. Trust me. Read more
