Does the job, but is confusing

I ordered this because for some reason, my rice cooker takes like 45 minutes to cook 1 cup of rice and I am tired of always waiting for it. When this arrived, I was confused as to how to use it since its not just a bowl with a lid- when you open the lid, there is a clear plastic part that fits over the rice inside as well. I was also expecting a manual or something to explain how to use this, but there was nothing. I went back to the Amazon listing to see if maybe the instructions were in the listing somewhere, and there was no mention of the plastic part on the listing at all! I tried to make rice with it, and just left this plastic part out, it sort of worked, but the rice was hard despite the fact that I added more water. Eventually, I decided to try and put the clear platic part over the rice before continuing to cook it, and THEN it steamed the rice and worked. This really would have benefitted from a pamphlet or instructions inside of it. Once I figured out how to use it, it works pretty well. You can definitely fit a lot of rice in here (probably up to like 3 cups uncooked). This was really easy to clean, and I really liked that the top locks closed because it makes it easier to put in or take out of the microwave. Overall this was a decent bowl, but it would have been nice to have some sort of guidance as to how to use the mysterious piece. Read more
