I use the top as a splatter cover for the microwave and then use both pieces to keep my mother's food warm. I am full time care giver for my elderly mother who thankfully still has a great appetite and eats three meals per day. Although I don't use the microware often, I liked this set because it has a bottom and cover and thought it would work well for keeping a plate of food warm. It works great for that purpose! My mother eats much more slowly than she used to, and I was having a issue keeping her food warm. I keep her meal covered during the entire meal, just lift the lid to get a bite of food for her, then put the cover right back on. This keeps her meal warm throughout the entire meal. The heating pad I bought does not work well so having this set has been a real help as my mother doesn't enjoy her meal if it gets cold. This has been a lifesaver and has given my mother the enjoyment of a warm meal again. This is large enough to fit the largest of dinner plates. The top also folds down for space saving storage. Since we’ve had this product we have yet to clean the inside of our microwave. The bottom portion is wonderful since you don’t bun your hands touching the dishes that are being heated. I’ve bought these as gifts . Very durable . The seal could be better but as long as it doesn’t splash in the microwave thats my najor concern. Read more

It's OK, the hard plastic bottom piece warped and melted the first time in the microwave, I do like the top piece. It holds up very well and helps keep the microwave clean and food heat better. Read more
