No Chill Nala—August 24, 2025
The media could not be loaded. This is powerful, has an easy setup & is great for health Concerns! I’ve had this air conditioner for a couple of days and absolutely love it. Installation was very easy and in my medium-size top-floor room, it removes hot/muggy air quickly. This is a big deal for me since I have asthma and allergies. I really like that it helps clean the air before circulating new, cool air. The cooling power is impressive; my room reaches a comfortable temperature in no time. At first, it was a little confusing to match the buttons with the features and lights, but the instructions and app made it easy (plus, after a few minutes of using it, everything was clear). It isn't 100% silent, but it's very quiet in comparison to other units. It's not a disturbance nor loud. It sits right below my windowsill and isn't too wide... it's honestly average height while thinner than I expected. Overall, it’s high-quality, effective and reliable. I’d 100% purchase this again and recommend it to friends or family looking for a smart, easy-to-use AC. Especially for the price... I think this is worth the money (I paid about $240 while it was on sale and am okay with that). Read more

Positive: the air conditioner works very well at keeping my bedroom cool at night so I don’t have to cool the entire house. It has saved me money on my power bill for sure! I like the continuous fan mode so I don’t hear major changes in the noise level when the ac function kicks on and off. Negative: Due to summer humidity, it fills up with water very quickly! If you don’t drain the water it beeps annoyingly and stops cooling effectively. I tried just putting a towel on a tray and letting it drain into the towel but it fills a huge pool towel each night. I then ordered a tiny water pump to put in a cup behind it but it didn’t work because the machine still thought it was full because of the minimum water level around the little pump. So my current set up is to raise it and let it drain into a clear tub I can dump in the morning. Read more

When I turn it on, the compressor starts almost immediately — and within about a minute, it begins to blow ice-cold air. It genuinely feels like the kind of frost I’d get from a strong window AC. I honestly didn’t expect it to be this effective — it actually went beyond what I was hoping for. That’s why I felt like writing this review right away. My bedroom is a bit over 150 square feet, and I live in the Midwest. I don’t have sun-heated walls or a hot ceiling, and on hot days, this unit handles the heat really well. After about an hour of use, I start noticing a clear drop in temperature, and after 2 to 3 hours, the room feels fully cooled — at least in my case. As for noise — it’s important to understand that the whole unit is inside the room, including the compressor. It’s not like a window AC where most of the noise is outside. That said, I still find it quieter than a typical window unit, and once the cooling kicks in, I’m usually more focused on the cold air than the sound. All the heat gets vented outside through the window via the exhaust hose, so it’s not being dumped into the room. I don’t have a way to install any drainage system in the bedroom, so I just place a small container to collect the water from the hose. It fills up regularly. And that, to me, is proof that the unit isn’t just moving air — it’s actively cooling and pulling moisture out of it at the same time. No cooling means no condensation, so the water alone shows it’s doing its job. Overall, it’s solid, reliable, and honestly better than I expected. Read more

****UPDATE***.... Come mid summer I did buy a second one for the other bedroom.. They work really good but each room did need its own when it was 85 and 90° out. It is September 5th and I still did not have to drain any of them and my first one I bought in May...I was skeptical about portable air conditioners but I am happy I took the chance. I have a 2 floor, one zone townhouse with central ac. I needed something for the bedrooms upstairs, since to get cool enough on one zone its freezing and costly downstairs. I originally bought 2 of these, but returned 1. One does the job. It keeps the bedrooms with a hall and bathroom between them very comfortable. I use less of my central ac and have cooler bedrooms now! The only things I dont care for is it is noisier than expected, and with the vent out the window I could not close the blinds right. So I pull my room darkening blind to the floor over the vent and added 84"inch curtains over that to block out the light at night. I have not had to drain it yet. That will be a challenge since there is no floor drain on the 2nd floor, but I already have an idea where/how to drain it. Love the remote control... (I do wish the power button glowed a little bit better in the dark.).... Who wants to fool on their smartphone when you're sleeping... Overall very satisfied! Read more

Well I made the purchase. I finally got to use it yesterday. Very very easy to install. Takes only a few minutes. You can save a lot of money and just buy a fan. That's really all it is. At first I was a little confused. I could hear the compressor turn on like you would a normal AC. And i suppose technically IT IS! Here is why. check it out yourself. Its doesn't use the regular gas for refrigeration. Instead it uses CO2. The Co2 gas will chill the air a bit in the condenser of the unit. But nowhere like a normal refrigerant in a regular air conditioner. So you get a small amount of (I hate to say cool) but cooler air. It was a waste of money. Its like taking a fan and blowing it over a pan of ice and praying. I am going to give it one star because it doesn't work close to an air conditioner. Its a small fan. You win some and you loose some. This is a looser. Read more
