Smooth, vibrant, and a daily ritual now!

Kenedi E’LynnMay 26, 2025

I’ve tried a few matcha powders, and this one really stands out. The color is a beautiful, bright green (a good sign it’s high quality), and the taste is smooth and fresh without any bitterness.doesn't have a weird smell and comes in a airtight seal with helps with Temperature this is also easy to use and open close etc. I use it for lattes every morning and it froths up perfectly with oat milk. Gives me a nice, calm energy boost without the jitters of coffee. Highly recommend if you’re trying to upgrade your matcha game! Read more

Good matcha that's always out of stock

BlitzedDecember 3, 2025

Great taste and effectiveness. The matcha quality is very good as is the value when you buy the bigger tin. However, it is unreliable stock wise. Customer service is very good. Read more

DELICIOUS A.F.!!!

Lucy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯November 18, 2015

It's like crack! Can't. Stop. Drinking . . . After reading and comparing all of the different Organic Ceremonial-Grade Matchas, I chose this one as it was a better value and hoped it wasn't a mistake. I WAS RIGHT!!! It's so delicious and smooth and perfect. I've had other Matcha that was not palatable and some that were good, but this one is SO FREAKING GOOD! So, I'm a little OCD and couldn't choke down the idea of not being able to properly wash and sanitize a chasen (bamboo whisk) and then having to store it properly in order to prevent mold and mildew and warping/unfurling of the tines. This was waaaaaaaaaay too complicated for me. This is how I do mine and it whips up a nice frothy cup every time: ITEMS NEEDED: Matcha Boiling water Room temp water Coffee mug Large stainless balloon whisk that fits in mug Small mesh strainer/sifter Measuring Spoon PROCEDURE: 1. Boil water 2. Fill 1/2 of mug capacity with boiling water 3. Fill 1/4 of mug capacity with room temp water 4. Leave remaining 1/4 of mug capacity empty 5. Scoop out some Matcha with measuring spoon and sift over hot water (keep spoon and mesh strainer dry) 6. Put balloon whisk in mug and clasp handle with both flat palms. Then rub back and forth like you're trying to start a fire with a stick. About 5-10 seconds later you'll have produced a nice, thick, creamy foam which signals you are finished!!! 7. Do not wash the the spoon and strainer, simply store it in a designated spot that will keep it clean. REASONS: The whole water combo thing (1 part room temp, 2 parts boiling) makes an ideal temp for the tea cuz who the f**k has time to temp water each time they want a cup of tea??? Keeping the mesh strainer and a designated measuring spoon in a designated safe spot saves from having to wash them. I have Match twice daily and don't trust that the spoon and strainer would be dry in time for the next serving. Using a stainless balloon whisk is a lot less maintenance than a 100-tine bamboo chasen. All of these things are likely already on-hand in your kitchen. No need to blow $75 on a bowl, chasen, chasen stand, or whatever else I saw out there (unless you're actually gonna take thetime to actually do some sort of ceremony). Me? Not so much. I'm just a regular ol' chick that likes tasty-a** tea. Read more

Emerald is good, for the price

CarolynJanuary 24, 2018

I'm glad this (Emerald) isn't my first matcha. If you have never had matcha before, you should try a finer one (and, frankly, a smaller quantity) to make a better assessment of whether you really like this genre of tea. It's pretty good if you're like me and like to drink 2-3 cups a day with a dash of milk and a pinch of sugar, but if you drink it straight it'll be noticeably less delicate and sweet and more grassy than other matchas. If you like it straight, you should look to Midori Spring's Gold Class instead or something similar. I like this one less than Teavana, Aiya and Midori Spring Gold Class.... but none of them come close on price per gram. I'll finish this tin just fine but probably will go for a slightly higher grade for daily drinking again after. Gold Class is so delicate in flavor that I blew through the jar faster than any other one, so I downgraded here to Emerald, but I think that the ideal for me is somewhere between the two... maybe I will buy more Gold Class for the weekends when I can really take my time with a cup. Edit: After a few more days with this matcha I'm going to upgrade it from 4 to 5 stars because the price is so good and with a touch of sugar and milk (i really do mean like 1/4 tsp sugar and an ounce of milk), this really does make a very satisfying and more economical morning drink for someone who drinks A Lot of matcha this way. However it has a noticeably larger particle size and I get more residue at the bottom of a cup than other brands, so I have to sort of swirl it a lot while I drink it to get the full flavor. I'm not bothered by the slightly powdery texture, but others might be. Read more

Rich, earthy matcha

C KSeptember 1, 2024

I didn't initially like this matcha compared to others I've tried, because it's very very earthy (think of the aftertaste in turmeric). But after about 3 cups of it, I really fell in love with the authentic taste. It's very rich but also very fresh and smells like typical matcha. It's easier to blend than most matchas, but I'd still recommend a matcha whisk or something similar. It may not seem very large, but this container lasts for many, many cups of matcha. I've made at least 20 out of it and I think I'm about halfway through. It does depend on how strong you like it, though! I have a busy schedule and often crash a bit in the afternoon (not willing to drink more coffee because it keeps me up too late). This is perfect to drink around 3-5 to keep the energy up all day. The caffeine seems to "hit" at a more drawn-out pace and doesn't keep me from sleeping. Read more
