I have been looking for so long for something that would help with my curls but not crunch and I finally found it. I do admit, the cream does look a little meh, kind of like a giant jar of loogy. If you are sensitive to texture like me, it may be hard to dip into the first time. But it is worth it. It smells really good but not so strong it overpowers your paid for fragrance. And when your hair dries, you have nice bouncy curls. And they are soft, defined and do not crunch like if you used gel. I wear a hair bonnet to bed and at night I use a spray bottle to dampen my hair before I put the bonnet on. I can get two-three days of good curls without having to reapply the cream. I've tried several different products but they either don't hold curls well or are way too crunchy through out the day. I found this preparing for my wedding and it works great. My hair held well on my wedding day (along with other prep recommended by my stylist) and I've used it ever since for daily use (over a year). This stuff held my daughter's curl pattern nothing else has done that for her hair. Yes we are black folks so it usually goes into big afro puffs with other products after it dries. I make sure her hair is wet when I apply it. However it is super sticky the next day so I make sure to rinse it out if I'm not going to reapply it.
