Had been in need for another bed for the big pups crate for those times when left alone due to work. Chose the 41x27 for the 42" by 28" crate. Once ordered up the item arrived fast ... due note this has been in possession for '8 months' ! I was searchin' for my review only to update it and whatdayaknow ... found I had never posted one (geeeez). Thought for saure one went up but no record of it found so ... here it finally b and do apologize to the brand (seller) for never doing so prior to this 'because' this is one of those simply awesome products that definitely deserve it. I've gone thru 3 other pads in his crate prior to this one AND this one's still hangin' in there since day one ! He's only in there when left alone which is so many nights per week thou they're approx 10hr eves (and no I'm not one to deprive) so I make sure I pop in on em during lunch breaks halfway thru so he can stretch n' relieve himself. In those 8 months - he has never had to relieve himself in the crate thus far (knock on that metal). But since he's a big ol pup of 3 now - a very well trained pure bred GSD currently at only 80lb - he still does his thing - the big baby he is - likes to get into stuff when ticked off n' leavin em is one of those times - so the crate remains. Still this bed has taken any n' all abuse while the ones prior would b shredded everywhere but inside the crate with em within a few months. In fact have pnly washed this approx once a month (few times a week it gets hit with a ShopVac due to - yea the GSD shed syndrome). Thou that's sayin' somethin' since its now on its 7th washing as I scribble this AND nottatear or loose string found with its zipper workin' like new. The soft comfy material always comes out fresh n' bright grey as when new too. As its bottom roughened layer of lining retains its composure (shape). Just can't state enough good overall thingys in all aspects of this product therefore it gets a well deserved recommendation here bar none. As for washin' ... personally a machine wash 'delicate cycle' followed by a low temp delicate for 15-20 minutes tops n set out for awhile prior to re-installing on its innercore, Also on the subject of the foam core - that's also held up thru its 8 months with no sign of decomposing residue (no dust, etc.) found. It's 4" thickness is still same thruout without any saggin' found anywheres - such a plus ! As for its price point - actually when viewing it's listing to do this and my original order - the cost dipped 5 buckeroos since then makin' for an even better deal for anyone contemplating between others found elsewhere. This one's a winner. Make your decision off this writing or the many others who've found this to b exactly what they were lookin' for in a great product that didn't disapoint them or their best friend.
