The Mik-Nana digital kitchen scale is a reliable and user-friendly tool for everyday cooking and baking. It measures up to 11 pounds (5 kg) with 1-gram accuracy, making it great for both small ingredients and larger items. I’ve used it to weigh a variety of foods and even small packages, and the readings have been quick and consistent. The scale offers multiple units, grams, kilograms, pounds, ounces, milliliters, and milk milliliters, which is helpful when following recipes that use different measurement systems. Switching between units and using the tare function is simple and intuitive. The stainless steel surface is easy to clean, though it can show fingerprints if your hands are messy. The digital display is clear and easy to read, and the buttons respond well to light touches. It also comes with two AAA batteries, so it’s ready to use right out of the box. The auto-off feature after three minutes helps conserve battery life, but it can be slightly inconvenient if you’re in the middle of prepping and need more time. Overall, this kitchen scale offers excellent value. It’s accurate, compact, and packed with practical features that make it a handy addition to any kitchen. Read more

This scale is sleek, responsive, and easy to use. I like the multiple units and the quick auto-off feature, and the tare function works well for measuring ingredients in bowls. The stainless-steel surface is easy to clean, and the LCD is bright and readable. However, when I tested accuracy using a U.S. nickel (which should weigh exactly 5 grams), the scale read 4 grams in gram mode and 0.20 oz in ounce mode, slightly off in both. While this won’t matter for most casual kitchen tasks, it might affect more precise recipes or portioning. I do appreciate the included batteries and the slim design, and I’ll continue using it for everyday meal prep. Just keep in mind that if precision is critical, this scale may need adjustment or a backup test weight for recalibration. Otherwise, it’s a solid, budget-friendly kitchen tool. Read more

The scale is slow to respond when you press the buttons. I usually have to push the tare button 6 or 7 times before it works. It seems to give unreliable measurements, or is slow to give an accurate measurement, and jumps to a number well after you are done putting food onto the plate/cup. Any moisture on the surface causes it to glitch. Read more

For what it is, and that is a generic light duty kitchen scale, this is a good item. If you need something to be accurate down to the hundreth of an ounce this scale is not going to be what you want. I would suggest a much higher priced scientific scale if those are your needs. The average person is measuring ingredients for dinner with a scale like this and it does that just fine. It tares down to zero without issue. Ground beef, chicken, proteins in general, dry ingredients, spices, this will handle all that and then some. The scale is lightweight and easy to clean up. I do have a triple beam balance and this little scale was accurate within a few hundredths of an ounce which is more than any cook needs. If you are doing hardcore chemistry that is another story, get a scientific scale. This is inexpensive, easy to store and so far the battery is still fully charged per my tester so should last awhile. Read more

This food scale is about as basic as they come, and I mean that in a positive way. Its simplicity makes it very easy to use. It offers a few different measurement units to choose from, which is convenient. The scale measures in increments of 0.05 oz, so if you’re looking for something more precise, this may not be the right option. Unfortunately, that was the case for me. I purchased it to help measure essential oils for candle making and needed a scale that could measure more precisely, down to 0.01 oz. If you’re looking for a scale specifically for food use, this basic scale works great. However, for craft projects or other uses that require more precise measurements, I’d recommend choosing a different scale designed for those purposes. One positive note is that the surface wipes clean easily—I spilled some essential oils on it, and cleanup was quick and easy. Read more

I got this scale for weighing ingredients for sourdough, but now that I have it, I'm using it in for other recipes as needed. This scale is a nice size for using in the kitchen. I can fit a mixing bowl on top of it, and still be able to read the display. The scale is easy to use. There are only 3 buttons - one for power on/off, tare, and to change the unit. It has a nice variety of weight units to choose from. I've used the grams, oz, and lb, and they seem to work fine so far. The tare function is indispensable. It's highly useful in recipes, when you need to measure more than one ingredient as you add it to your mixture. The display is clear & easy to read. The operation is simple & easy. I like that the scale goes to sleep after a while of no activity, as I can get busy in the kitchen & forget to turn it off. The scale is lightweight, and while it's a nice size, it's still small enough that it doesn't take up much counter space. The scale uses & comes with 2 triple A batteries. Be sure to remove the plastic covering on the batteries before powering on the scale. Read more
