This IS the duffel bag I have been looking for! Amazon sells a ton of inexpensive (and many low quality) bags that are fine for toting your stuff to and from the gym and such, but I wanted a truly well made bag that can withstand the abuse that airport luggage handlers might give and provide enough organization within the bag to keep me organized while traveling. (I prefer to do the minimum of unpacking on short trips and just "live out" of the bag; pockets are key for this.) This bag has LOTS of pockets, in a whole variety of sizes and shapes. (It almost has too many - I have sometimes thought I lost something when I got home, but I just missed unloading one of the pockets.) I love that it has a waterproof compartment for any wet or smelly items, to protect everything else. It is extra nice that the bag is designed so that the compartment can sit its own pocket when empty, so you don't have an empty sack flapping around in the interior of the bag and getting in the way. I haven't taken the bag on a trip but will soon. I have checked out all the pockets and put different items inside to see how things fit. It holds a lot, including a small blanket, inflatable neck pillow, and my purse. The u-shaped zipper on the top allows access to everything inside. The light-colored interior makes every item visible. I won't have to stick my hand inside and grope for whatever I need. An outside pocket will hold my Kindle and keep it and the charger accessible. The bright blue exterior is eye-catching and appealing. I think it improve my future travel experiences. Read more
This is a well constructed small duffel with many pockets to help stay organized. It is a good value for the money I ordered to use it as a personal item when traveling by air. I ordered the smaller size which is acceptable. The turquoise color is very beautiful but I’m returning for black. I am replacing my blue luggage for another color that turquoise would not be complimentary. I recommend the bag as a personal item for use on airplanes. Read more
Forest green is a very subtle light green, more of a sage, with hint of gray. Hard to really get a sense of color from the stock pictures, or my photos. Spacious bag. Fit 2 days of items for a work trip (clothes, a thick blazer, shoes, and various misc. personal items). I like that it has the plastic pegs as feet. Nice that it has straps on both ends of the bag to pull a bag from an overhead bin or otherwise move it around. My bag was full, and while it did fit in the overhead (737-700), I had to wrestle a bit the get the bag in and out because the feet were catching on the bin. The bag of course gets heavy when you fill it up. If you have to carry it for an extended period, your shoulder or back will feel it after a while and the next day. The bag quality seems good, thick material. Zippers seem sturdy. If anything fails, I suspect it would be a plastic foot getting ripped off, or the point where the shoulder strap loops are sewn to the bag. Just one X of stiching over a 1" x 1" piece of material? I think the bag will tear at this strap connection point in time. One star off for that. I do *not* believe this bag would fit in a regional jet (e.g.,CR7-Canadair RJ 700) overhead bin if it was more than half full. Read more
