I had been using a foldable plastic stool under my desk to rest my feet. What a big difference this footrest makes!! The top of it is not fixed but tilts in either direction supporting the angle of your feet on it. I highly recommend this product!! The only imperfection is in the packaging and delivery of this product: it was delivered in its original manufacture box. The first time I received it, the bottom was broken during shipping and all the shattered pieces were in the box. So I had to order a 2nd time, and it arrived again in its original manufacture box. This time, the plastic tape was not completely sealing the opening of the box, and 2 metal rods fell out while I lifted the package and moved it inside my house. Thanks goodness I didn't lose the metal rods before it got to the house, or else I would not have been able to assemble it. Additionally, NO assembly instruction was included in the packaging. This product to some getting used to for me, but after a few weeks I really like it and use it everyday at work. During these first few weeks of use, I genuinely noticed the soreness in my lower back disappear. Product is made from a sturdy plastic, but is still susceptible to breaking under extreme stress. There is no locking feature for the tilt like there is for the elevation, but that allows for natural positioning of the feet/ankles depending on how you are sitting. As a 6' male, the hardest part about getting used to this product was learning to sit with my legs closer together, which was a little uncomfortable at first but easy to overcome once the benefits are noticed. However, even then my feet still frequently hang over the edges, and I wish that there was an option for one that was 4"-6" wider. The massaging texture is nice if you have an opportunity to rub your feet on it in socks (or bare feet if your environment allows), but is not at all helpful with shoes on. Feels cheap. "Adjustable" but often fails to maintain the position I've adjusted it to, and will collapse easily. Unit broke after a few years of sporadic use within established operating parameters. This ergonomic foot rest is a fantastic little addition to my office setup. It's simple, lightweight plastic, but the height adjustment is easy to dial in, and it makes a huge difference in my comfort level during long workdays. The best thing is that they come in a 2-pack, because the first one was stolen from my cubicle! Seriously, that's how good these things are. I don't normally leave reviews but I had to for this one. This broke within a month of use and I got a replacement from Amazon because it was within the return window. There this tiny plastic piece and a bar that makes it so you can put it in different height settings and that plastic piece just snapped. So I figured maybe it was me and I was putting too much pressure on it somehow when I was resting my feet on it, so I was incredibly careful with the second one. Then the second one broke anyway, same problem, JUST outside of the Amazon return window. Amazon couldn't do anything which was fair, they advised me to reach out to the company. Mindreader's customer was terrible, they didn't even try. Me: Hello. The replacement also broke, this time a little after a month, and I cannot exchange it with them because it's outside of the return anymore. I took special care to not put any extra pressure on it the second time around in case it was something I did the first time, but it still happened again. Can you please help me out to do something about this? The break that occurred is that the item won't hold for all the heights.
