It works alright. Will give an edge to a dull knife.
For sharpening, I can't find if it lists what the sharpening material is made. It's white but acts like a typical carbide pull through sharpener. It's a single stage that will give a dull knife a new edge that will make them sharper and usable again but you wont be slicing paper like they do in sharpening tests. As a single stage pull through, you could put a new edge on a blade that has chips in it since this style literally shaves metal off the blade to create an edge. The suction works adequately and is nice for safety since the product is so small. It's a cute ice cream shape which some may be attracted to. It's inexpensive and could be a fun gift for someone.
