Off the bat, this is one of the most complete precision power screw driver sets available. It comes with standard sized precision bits that are all coated with a bit of oil to resist rust and chemical damage - an excellent detail. The bits are magnetically held into place - removing the pain of having to fiddle with tight pressure-jammed bits on other lesser sets. Bits are securely held in place, but easily removed - making the tool extremely easy to use instead of a frustrating headache from other kits. But what really sets this head and shoulder over other products are the extra long bits that are included with the set. This allows the driver to really reach recessed screw holes - such as those on children's plastic toys - where the screw is recessed a further distance from the surface. It also allows for reaching screws where there is little clearance - such as doorknob installation or tightening. These bits alone have made the kit worth it - my other screw drivers could not reach what this one could. Long story short, this screwdriver saves significant amounts of time and the kit is complete. I would have given this 4 1/2 stars if I could have but it's not a 5 star. The one issue I have with it is that some of the longer bits are not straight and they wobble a bit. This could be an issue if you're working on especially small/delicate items. Having gotten the negative out of the way, this seems to be a very good quality tools. I know that I will never use all of the bits but there certainly is a good assortment. It seems sturdily built and it does everything it claims. I like that it has 5 adjustable torque settings. The highest setting is pretty substantial and the lowest seems easy enough to stop that you won't be stripping anything. I also like that it locks when it's not spinning. I sometimes prefer to start screws manually so I don't cross thread them. It's a good size and is very comfortable and easy to use. The light also is very handy. The price isn't low but I suspect that anything comparable in quality would be at least as much. Read more
I really like the idea of this screwdriver kit, but I feel like it was executed poorly. The pass through hole on the case for charging is nice. I even like the kit layout. The sleeve over the whole kit is a great idea. That said, no matter the orientation the buttons on the screw driver will be pushed with a bit of pressure on the case housing causing it to run. The bits are not well made. In particular, the torx security bits do not fit the screws they're supposed to i.e. the hole in the end of the bit isn't big enough for the security pin. Lastly, on par with most of the electric screw pins the torque just isn't there. It's a bit better than others I have tried but still lacking even for tearing down and reassembling a gaming controller. Read more
The media could not be loaded. I have to admit that I did not have high hopes for this screwdriver. Thankfully, though, it exceeded my expectations. It comes in a nice case with a push-action latching mechanism to remove the inner part from the case. The inner part of the case stores the electric screwdriver and all the little driver bits, plus a pair of tweezers and a spudger (a thin piece of metal used to pry open things). The driver bits all seat into place using magnetic attraction and the screwdriver itself snaps into place. Due to the use of magnets, I found the driver bits easy to remove from the case. Also included is a USB-C charging cable and a small widget to magnetize/demagnetize the driver bits. There is no place inside of the case to store the magnetizer widget and that is one thing I did find slightly disappointing because I'm sure to lose that in a drawer somewhere. But I have larger size magnetizer that I keep handy so that is not a huge loss for me, personally. Another nice feature I appreciated is that there is a hole in the case that exposes the screwdriver's charging port so that you can charge it while it is stored inside the case. The battery does not appear to be removable so that is a bit of a concern long-term but anyone with an electronics hobby such as myself will likely see that as an interesting challenge. Now onto the screwdriver itself. On it are buttons labeled "R" and "L" for right and left. I would've much rather these have been labeled as "F" for forward and "R" for reverse, mainly because the forward button is labeled as "R" and I will find that difficult to adjust to. I get why they did this and maybe in countries other than the US, using the terms right and left is more common than forward and reverse. I expect I will find it easiest to look at the rotation of the driver bit to verify the correct direction before engaging. There is also a light button and while the light itself is not particularly strong, it is at least bright enough to do the job if you have to adjust a screw or bolt inside a darkened computer case under as desk, for example. The light button also will show battery status with a double-click and will allow you to adjust the speed/torque with a long press. So I think what matters most in the functionality of a device like this is, does it have enough torque to do the job? In my experience, yes. I tested it out and found it had enough torque to tighten down screws affixed to brass standoffs, which is usually where I use the most torque while working on electronic projects. And, to be clear, this is clearly designed mainly for that purpose, given the sizes of the driver bits. You are not going to be doing typical household maintenance with this screwdriver. If you are securing screws into plastic, you will probably want to use a lower torque setting to avoid stripping out the plastic material. Overall, I think this is an excellent product. Read more
