I bought these to replace a pair of similar style old Minnetonka that wore out after 6 years of wearing around the house and occasionally outside for short walks. They are well made and fairly comfortable. But from experience I know it will take about six months of wear before they are stretched enough to be really comfortable. So I am still in the break in period where the leather is still stiff and the heel back is a little too firm. I had them in my closet for a few months before I had to finally throw out the old ones. I eagerly awaited the arrival of these new house shoes as the company has been well known for making quality products. However, to my great disappointment I have not had them for a week and the stitched lacing of the vamp to the side of the right shoe has unraveled. What was once a reliable company with good products has gone down the trail of having them made in a foreign country where cheap labor and materials are sacrificed fro a greater profit which results which results in an inferior product. Deeply disappointed in this company and all the propaganda about their company on the website and on the shoe box itself. I got these for my husband for Christmas and he LOVES them! He has tried other brands but always comes back to Minnetonka. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. The sole allows him to step outside vs regular slippers. They were just a tiny bit snug when he first put them on but they stretch slightly to adjust. They keep his feet cozy. Read more
