MiPiece is exactly what I wanted for motorcycle riding & at work. I owned an early version & ripped out the wire (my fault) when a wire was stuck under a toolbox. They are very durable & tough. The second pair I owned are the above, with replacement plugs. I abuse them & take them off & on constantly & they stand up to factory mechanic work & motorcycle riding. I have never used the replacement plugs. I have pulled on the wires very hard & never pulled them out nor damaged them except the first pair & that was beyond ridiculous & my fault. The 2nd pair: a few times I was sure I damaged the wires but never did. The plugs/wires are designed to pull out of the neck piece & I have never even done that by accident. Sound quality is fine & not what I bought them for. They are not Bose, but sound quality for music is good/better than expected! I wanted to cut out wind noise on the motorcycle & hear my audio books or music (I have never kept track of the exact time the batteries lasted, but I know the amount of battery life was at least what I listed below because I do not want to exaggerate). Battery for audio books is greater than 14+ hours; for music is at least 8-9+ hrs. They are great for OSHA work requirements & gives me a needed rest from noise earmuffs. No M/C helmet speaker system can compete with MiPiece (seriously), because this product cuts out the wind noise, I don't have to turn up the sound because the wind is not competing. It is also so nice to cut out the wind & makes riding very enjoyable without that darn wind. This also keeps the decibels down to avoid hearing loss. I got rid of my helmet speaker system & will never use helmet speakers again. I recommend them to everyone riding bikes & battery life is outstanding. MiPiece DOES NOT interfere with the helmet-ear-fit & have no ear pain like wireless earbuds do. Update: since my last post MIPEACE stepped up their game with a newer product. This has all these features with a working mic. I’d leave a link but not sure if that’s ethical in this thread. Look for it in their store. It’s the orange one for work. I upgraded the rating for their efforts I work construction and these ear buds are by far the best I’ve used. I love they come with extra ear pieces that are detachable and replaceable. This is where other styles usually fail. I tend to rip them off while carrying material over my shoulder. The noise reduction is great, sound quality is sound. battery last two working day, Bluetooth connects around 60 feet for me and through floors. These can connect to my phone and Laptop at the same time which is an extra bonus. Durability is solid. What is a DEAL BREAKER for me is that I need to make hand free phone call to communicate and pull wire at the same time. The microphone is almost nonexistent. Callers say I sound like I’m underwater. I’ve looked to see if the hole was covered and there isn’t any information on where the mic is located on the headset (if any). I bought a second pair thinking it’s just a bad batch, but that wasn’t the case. The second had the same problem. If you just looking to listen, these are a good deal.
