The media could not be loaded. This set of 6 holographic nail lacquers is absolutely stunning! I knew when ordering it that if I used the polish by itself that I would have to do at least 3 coats of polish as the directions shown in the listing state this. I'm not usually a fan of having to do multiple coats specifically with nail lacquer as it takes so long to dry. I did my swatches of all the colors using just the polish by itself which I've shared a photo of and this was the effect of the color after 3 coats. It's absolutely stunning but so hard to show just how they look in person, in a photo. I then decided to try painting a swatch with black polish and then doing one coat of the holographic over it. This can be seen in the photos I've shared of the single swatches. The 3 photos and video are all of the same color, #5 in the set which is a green, blue/teal, and purple shift. This worked perfectly and I found the effect was even more stunning when done this way. This made the process so much easier and quicker than doing 3 coats and obviously uses less polish this way. All the bottles are 5ml which isn't a lot of product unfortunately and I do wish that the bottles had been larger since you do have to do so many coats if you don't have access to black polish. When doing proper nail prep (removing cuticles, lightly buffing the nail, using a nail dehydrator), using a base coat and top coat, this polish lasts as long as any other nail lacquer. Now the packaging does mention using a gel top coat with a lamp but you should never use a gel product over a nail lacquer unless you allow the nail lacquer 24 hours to fully dry. Nail lacquer can feel dry to the touch after a short period of time but it takes 24 hours to fully dry. If you apply a gel top coat to nail lacquer that isn't fully dry, it can cause your top coat to not cure properly leaving uncured product on your nails and increasing your risk of developing a gel allergy. Overall, I'm super impressed with this polish and would definitely recommend it especially with a black under coat. Read more

The bottles are definitely on the small side, but they feel more like a trial or travel size. These are nice if you want to test the colors before committing to full-size polishes. The polish quality isn't the most amazing I’ve ever used, mainly because of how many layers are needed to really get the holographic effect and darker coloring. That said, I do think that’s kind of the trend with hologram-style polishes. An easy workaround is to apply one or two darker base coats and then add one to two thin layers of the holographic polish on top. That’s what I plan to try next. The first two layers dry pretty well, but I’d recommend waiting a bit longer before adding a third or fourth coat. You can stop at three coats and it still looks how it’s supposed to (see photos for application for # coats 1-5, please ignore my polish, my nails are still recovering from a previous gel manicure). As a standalone polish, it can get a little annoying if you’re using a base and top coat, since you can easily end up with 5–6 total layers if you follow the recommended 3–4 coats. Where this set may be worth it, is as fun effect topper. Longevity wise it is like any typical polish. Overall, this is a cute idea for breaking into small gift sets for tweens or teens, using as stocking stuffers, or just playing around with different looks. Not a must-have on its own, but fun and versatile if you like experimenting with nail effects. Read more

This is potentially a good option for young girls because it dries super fast and can be removed without acetone, but that's only because it does not stick very well without a top coat. Why this set doesn't include a top coat in lieu of one of the holographic colors is beyond me. While the colors are very pretty, especially over a darker opaque color, the number of steps to achieve that look kind of negates the benefit of it drying quickly. Needs better chip resistance and color coverage to be worth the cost. Read more

I ordered this Misssix nail polish set for times when I want to quickly paint my nails without the hassle of gel polish or long removal processes. These are regular nail polishes, not gel, so they don’t require a UV lamp, and they won’t last as long as gel. I did a quick single application just to test the colors, and they are beautiful. The metallic finish stands out, even with one coat. With multiple applications, the color becomes darker. Like any polish, proper nail prep is still important, and if you want the polish to last longer, adding a top coat helps. You can even use a gel top coat and cure it for extended wear if desired. These smell like nail polish which is to be expected. The bottles are smaller (5 ml) and perfect for a preteen, for occasional use, or for anyone who wants variety without committing to large bottles. The coverage is thin so it will take multiple layers to get the desired effect. I ordered these knowing exactly what to expect, and for that reason, they’re a solid 5-star product. Overall, this set offers great quality and value as long as your expectations match what this polish is meant to be: quick, easy, beautiful color without long-term wear. Read more

Probably good for kids but for an adult as soon as it dries, it peels off in one big piece, dries quick but takes at least 4 coats to get the color Read more
