I really need to wait a couple days before trying perfume or body mist that comes in the mail, especially when it’s been stuck in a hot mailbox for awhile, because when I first tried this all I could smell was the champagne note which was very strong and dry, mixed with a very bitter fruit smell. It smelled quite bad and I couldn’t scrub it all off and it lasted for hours. I was a little disappointed, but it was a blind buy and I knew the risk. Later that night, I started getting sweet and fruity whiffs and was really surprised at how long this body spray lasted and now it was smelling closer to what I had hoped it would be like. I got it because I heard it smelled like gummy bears. I let it rest in my dark cool cabinet for a day and when I tried it again, it was so much better. Sometimes, when my skin is warm, the champagne note comes out very strong and dry and kind of ruins it for a couple minutes before settling down, but I think I’ll just avoid putting it on when I’m hot for now on, I have a few other perfumes that don’t interact well on me when it’s hot, so this isn’t the first time. Sometimes it smells kind of like sweet tarts, but usually it smells more like gummy bears and I love it. Update: After having this for about a week, I can wear this when I’m hot and it doesn’t have that bitter dry smell that I thought was the champagne note. So, if you blind buy this and don’t like it at first, give it a week and try it again. If I spray this on my clothes before I go to bed, I can still smell it when I wake up, which is pretty impressive for a body spray. alright let’s get real not sweet but not bitter or harsh. so like it’s ok i guess. i love me a sugar sweet bomb perfume you know.? but this ain’t it. did i anticipate it to be sweet no it says bourbon. it’s definitely got that alcohol quality. definitely pick up the jasmine and sandalwood. it’s floral but not grandma floral. i smell the vanilla but it’s not a sweet delicious vanilla it’s just like the essence. i know it’s vanilla but it’s not my kind of vanilla. it’s inherently sweet but darker? it’s not like a mature sweet. it’s like you ate vanilla bean ice cream then drank a shot of that bourbon then drank some jasmine tea and chopped wood outside. so the vanilla is there but not and the alcohol lingers but that jasmine and sandalwood are forefront of the smell. not a bad smell but not my favorite if i could layer it well i’d buy it again but if not then i have no reason to get it again. lid did have an issue but not big just popped it back on and the bottles nice. I love this stuff, it goes great with d&g devotion. I usually just use it to spray my hair otw out of the door and I always get compliments on how good I smell. Will buy again and again. The scent is the perfect blend of warm and sweet, a very cozy scent perfect for the cold months but I will still use it in warmer months. Read more
Literally the most comforting Fragrance I own. It smells like getting a hug from someone wearing a clean and warm sweater, the notes are perfectly blended. It is so calming and works better than aromatherapy by a bazillion. Only problem is that I really wish they would take out the methoxycinnamate, don't need that in there, would be great if they opted for cleaner ingredients. I do absolutely adore this fragrance.
