I have gone through three generations of Mizuno tennis shoes, but in the end, I returned these to Amazon. The shoe quality was top notch, and it was very comfortable except for one thing. I have very high arches and the shoe had fairly low arch support. Unfortunately, the heel sits too high to make my orthotics fit right without over pronating. So, I would very highly recommend this shoe for anybody with low to medium archs. But if you have high arches like me, you may want to try another option. Read more

Have tried the Wave Exceed 5s and 6s, and I love them both, but I needed more cushioning that the Tour 2 provides because I am a play rougher and land hard. Have tried other brands, but the Mizuno Tour 2 is best shoe I’ve used. Read more

Super lightweight and really stable — great for aggressive movement on court. I use a runner’s knot and the fit feels perfect, no discomfort at all. No break-in needed either, felt good right out of the box. Plus, they look clean. Solid all-around shoe. Read more

I picked these up for tennis because I deal with plantar fasciitis and have slightly wide feet. I’ve been using them since August 11, and so far they’ve done their job. My plantar fasciitis hasn’t flared up once while wearing these, which is the main thing I was looking for. Before this, I used Asics (Gel Resolution line), and honestly those were solid too—these Mizunos are just comparable with a different feel. The support and stability are excellent once the shoe breaks in, but that break-in period is real. It took me a couple of sessions before the upper softened and the sole felt more natural underfoot. After that, it settled in nicely. My only complaints: the color options are limited, and the shoe isn’t exactly soft out of the box. If you want something you can play long matches in immediately, this probably isn’t it. But if you give it a little time, the support is there. Pros: No plantar fasciitis flare-ups Good stability for lateral movement Works well for slightly wide feet Durable feel Would buy again Cons: Needs a few sessions to break in Limited color choices Stiffer out of the box compared to some Asics models Bottom line: If you need strong support and play lots of lateral-heavy tennis, these are worth it—just don’t judge them based on day one.
