High quality and thick material. Definitely meant for playing volleyball. The only thing about this I wish I knew before is that it’s very form fitting. I’m more on the curvier side and have thicker thighs but I’m normally a medium in all of the clothes I buy. When I’m playing, I find myself constantly having to pull my shorts down because they ride up. Not exactly sure if I would recommend sizing up, but if you have thicker thighs, maybe you should try. Got these in a size M for my curvy size 6 teen who usually wears a size S/M. They looked fine when she tried them on but once she started playing in them the shorts rode way up. They look like a swim suit bottom. I know that this is the style these days but just saying, if you're looking for shorts that look like shorts, consider sizing up or going with a longer inseam.
