For the past few weeks my hands have been through a tough time— skin fissures, bleeding cracked skin, and an itchy rash that persisted despite using a prescription topical and lotion specifically formulated for damaged skin. I clean houses, and mostly wear gloves, but wearing gloves for the better part of a day can cause problems, too. I love this calendula I use it all over my face ! No more super expensive skin care ! I use it the first time after a micronideling facial and after that I notice it was so hydrating and made my skin glow ! I use it with argan old at night and love it ! All MJ Herbal’s salves are great. I particularly like this one because I have used it on an array of bumps and bruises for my kids. It works well on sensitive skin and is very soothing. Used it on sunburn as well and it really helped. Is not at all greasy and it is quickly absorbed by the skin. Read more

Truly awesome, healing salve. It has helped with my scalp already ( seborrheic dermatitis). I leave it on the worst patches overnight and warm the bit I take out, so it’s more liquid and easier to apply and cover my scalp as much as possible without using too much. It has worked well as an overnight treatment the night prior to combing well to exfoliate my scalp and then rinsing it all out with a clarifying hypoallergenic shampoo and then using a 2% Zinc shampoo ( I leave it on my scalp after lathering well for ten minutes as suggested by most Dermatologists) . I’m only going into detail because so far this particular combo is the only thing that has truly helped. It also works so well for burns or any skin ailments ( the healing herbs Used must be very high quality ) . I recommend it! It’s smaller than I realized so I wish I had gotten two at once. For years I relied on Burt's Bees Res-Q Ointment to rapidly heal everything from chapped lips, fever blisters, ragged cuticles, any cut or scrape... One day, the Bees quit working and it's new container wouldn't tell me why. So I chalked it up to the famous corporate buy-out, turning Burt into a sell-out. Last winter I developed a really horrible cold sore (the kind that had began to leave scars since I no longer had my original Res-Q). By a miracle, I found an empty, original Burt's tin in my dresser and took it to the store to compare with the new ingredients. Many things were missing from the new formulation, mainly comfrey. So I took to the internet, researched comfrey and other healing treatments and searched amazon for a replacement salve. I chose MJ's because of the price and the apparent concentration of my desired ingredients (comfrey, primarily). The very small size of the MJ ointment/salve did not alarm me... Because if this stuff works a little dab is often TOO much. This little jar lasted myself and my family of 6 nearly a year. I am currently suffering terribly cracked winter hands which reminded me that I ran out of my MJ Herbals a few months ago. I am now ordering more and felt terrible for not having reviewed earlier. I won't go into detail about everything I have used this salve for, because most uses are off label and certainly not endorsed by MJ Herbals. Let's just say if it's inflamed, raw, irritated, scraped, oozing, or tap dancing... MJ Herbals First Aid allows comfrey to do as comfrey likes to do.... Which is to heal our ouchies when applied consistently and with a light hand. The reason for 4 stars on this product is usage margin of error. This salve turns into a liquid once applied. There will be several frustrating fails when using this product with bandages, etc. And because of this texture, reapplication is a frequent must. Careful leaving it in a hot vehicle during travel. MJ Herbals are also very nice people. I fanned them on Facebook and let them know I was loving this product for the burns I had from wrestling a thanksgiving turkey and they offered to mail me free samples of their burn ointment. That was so very nice of them but during the holidays I forgot to take them up on their offer. This is definitely a replacement for that bee guys stuff. This stuff is amazing. Seriously! I’ve had a cut in the corner of my nose for a month, the result of constant blowing at the onset of allergy season. I’ve tried neosporin, cortaid, aquaphor, Vaseline, and pretty much everything else I had in the house. Needless to say, nothing was helping... until today when my first aid salve arrived. No joke, 7 hours and several applications later, and my nose is not only soothed with the lovely scent and anesthetic qualities, but it actually feels like it’s healing. This product is AWESOME!!! I've had dozens of mosquito bites this summer. I found that if I apply this salve immediately after being bitten, the bite area gets "cut off at the pass". After about 10-20 minutes, the bite spot has almost completely disappeared and the itching is gone!! I love this salve and I'll never be without it. I haven't used it for cuts or burns yet, but I have no doubt that it will work great. This smells very much like tea tree oil, which is one of the ingredients, but this is the predominant odor. I don't mind it at all. I also like that this product is all natural. I highly recommend this salve. A++++ Read more
