Bought this back in February and carried it with me everywhere but finally got to use it in May. Seemed sturdy, the cable itself is strong, but the mechanism on the inside that rolls it back in broke within the first 10 uses and now it won’t retract. Maybe I got a defective one? The product itself would have been excellent had it lasted more than a few uses, for that reason I give it only 1 star. Update: Gave them a 1 star initially due to the failed mechanism but a customer service representative reached out to me almost immediately to figure out what the issue was and how to remediate the situation. Very professional and very quick with their responses and I was more than satisfied with the outcome. I've had this item for nearly 3 years. The retractable key chain lasted about a year but the card holder last me until now. As long as you do not mind replacing the key chain, it is a good item. Read more

I purchased this heavy duty badge and key holder after my cheap plastic one broke. The retractable cord seems sturdy, really the entire system is made of quality materials. I have 3 cards that are stored in the ID holder and it seems to have plenty of space to hold more, if needed. This product is definitely well worth the money. Read more
