This 20-piece mugwort steam eye mask is a must-have for business trips! When I want to catch up on sleep on the high-speed rail, I open one and put it on. It not only blocks the light but also the warm steam relieves travel fatigue. The smell of mugwort isn't as pungent as other aromatherapy versions; instead, it's very helpful for sleep. The 20-piece pack is convenient to pack in the suitcase. I take three to five pieces with me every time I travel, and I no longer have to worry about eye discomfort on the way. Read more

Get hot with air, so you have to use the whole mask. I needed it for chalazion treatment on one eye. I tried to immediately put it in a plastic bag, but that didn't always work. Read more

These are great for relaxing after a long day. They are comfortable and soothing. The warmth is always perfect. I like to put a normal eye mask ontop to put pressure on the mask so it rests more firmly on my eyes. They're perfect for dry, sore eyes from staring at a computer screen or being out in the sun. I used to think steam eye masks were a "tax on intelligence" until I tried this 20-piece mugwort one! Every time after practicing yoga, when I put it on, the warm feeling spreads from around the eyes to the temples, and the tense nerves relax immediately. The fresh scent of mugwort can also calm the mood, which is much more effective than simply closing my eyes to rest. The 20-piece quantity is substantial, so I don't feel bad using it, and I've already recommended it to several yoga buddies around me. Read more

I ordered this Disposable 10 Pack of Self-Heating Steam Eye Mask because sometimes I have sinus pressure and warm compresses really relieve that pressure. Other times, I just have a hard time falling asleep, so I thought these masks might help me relax and fall asleep easier. They honestly would be perfect if it weren't for the smell. I just cannot get past the smell! So here's a story time. At almost 7:00 in the morning I had yet to fall asleep. Not only was I suffering from a neck injury, but I was also having sinus pressure from allergies. I got up out of bed, took some medicine, and laid back down. I suddenly remembered that I had these masks, so I felt they would be perfect to help relieve my sinus pressure. I opened one of the individual packages they come in (which I do love), followed the instructions, and put the mask over my eyes as I laid back in bed. At first, I thought the mask was wonderful. Not only did it warm up quickly, but it was soft, fit comfortably on my face, and actually began helping to relieve my sinus pressure. I thought I would surely fall asleep....until the smell began emitting itself from the mask. I'm not sure what the smell is, perhaps the lavendar, although it really didn't completely smell like lavendar, or if it was something else in the mask. The more the mask was on my face, the more unbearable the smell was. I even covered my nose to avoid smelling it just so I could get some sinus pressure relief and fall asleep. This mask only exasperated my sinus issues. I slowly began to remember that my daughter tried these masks out first, and she too could not handle the smell. I even tried to wear the mask on my neck to help with my neck injury pain, but the smell was still there. Needless to say, I ended up removing the mask and didn't sleep. Perhaps I'll try the mask on my lower back or legs when they hurt. Hopefully I won't smell the mask from that far away from my nose. So, my final thoughts: For around $8 for 10 mask, this is a great value. I love that they're individually wrapped, are disposable, they fit nicely and are soft. They warm up quickly and stay warm for a decent amount of time, and the warmth is a comfortable warmth. What I don't like is whatever that smell is. If these masks were made without the lavendar or any other fragrance, it would really be close to perfect. One other thing, I do feel the instructions should be printed in a larger, bolder, and darker print. I had a hard time reading the instructions personally. Would I recommend these masks? If you're sensitive to smell, then absolutely no. If smells don't bother you, then perhaps give these a try. They do feel nice, but the smell is a no for me. Read more
