Fits my athletic calves which are a little bigger than average. Heel is just enough to give a nice look to the overall appearance of the tall boot. Before I wore them for a family photoshoot in the Buffalo Winter I gave them 2 full coats of waterproof spray. No water stains. Dress them up or pair with leggings or jeans.
