When I ordered this light, it was a warm brass with a black cord, which surprised me because I thought the entire rod was metal and the fixture was fixed. That was my fault for not reading the description accurately. I have to say, I much prefer the black, but others may prefer the clear cord. I liked it enough to order another one for a room in a whole house remodel, although the flexible cord changed my plans for using in a powder room, since swinging lights next to a mirror might not be the best. I have plenty of other places to put them, though. At the time, I thought it was reasonably priced at $33 but see it's now selling for $11! That's a bargain! I don't know if the lower price is due to the change in color of the brass and cord, or something else. I have noticed that the listing has changed a couple of times, but if/when they bring back the brass and black version, I can recommend that one. Based on the two I got, I'm considering one of their fabulous-looking bubble chandeliers for the dining room, as well. Read more

I was really excited about installing this fixture, but now that I see it, I’m pretty disappointed. While the sizing seems to be accurate to the product description, not much else is accurate. The images show a fixture with deep bronzy gold rod & canopy with a bold black cord. The light I received is a bright & shiny gold rod & canopy with a clear plastic (very, very thin) cord. When installed on a dimmer, the light does work, but the dimming is more like 2 1/2 stepping. No smooth low to high, but a clunky low then jump to a mid then a quick half jump to a med-high. Very odd behavior. When I have any other light installed on this dimmer, there’s no issues like this whatsoever. Very bummed about this & wish I would’ve gotten a fixture that dims properly & looks like the one pictured. Cannot recommend this one. Read more
